Twiggy’s Take on London Fashion

Twiggy took over the Bryant Park Hotel’s loft Tuesday afternoon to celebrate the launch of the Twiggy London Collection exclusively at HSN. Glam caught up with the icon, who was in the midst of enjoying a tea sandwich to fight the jet lag, to find out about her design process and favorite pieces.  “We started off by going through my wardrobe and finding my staples,” she explained. Skinny jeans, t-shirt dresses, satin sneakers, and embellished belts have long been some of her favorite things and they are reinterpreted in this collection; plus a Union Jack bag clearly pays homage to her British roots.  The folksy vest featured above was based on a 1930 version she got at a vintage shop over 21 years ago and still wears today. “I’m quite casual; I think fashion should be fun and some people take it way too seriously,” said Fergie.  “I love military details, gypsy skirts, boxy boyfriend pieces and pretty prints and I know customers will too.” Shop the collection now at HSN.com.
