So here’s an intriguing magazine cover: Lais Ribeiro’s Vogue Germany March 2012 as photographed by Alex Lubomirski. If you are thinking the huge hair stands for a retro pictorial, you’re correct on! The inside photos reveal a perfectly gorgeous Lais revisiting the 60s fashion. It’s a balanced pictorial, retro and modern blended together wonderfully. I do not know if it’s just my admiration for Lais or really Alex Lubomirski worked actually wonderful “Americano” visuals for Vogue Germany! Check the pictures after the jump and judge for your self! Guess Summer 2012 Women’s Lookbook
Guess showed its beautiful Summer collection during NYFW. Happening in Chelsea, the models had been standing on pedestals for us to view, wearing these clothes from the Summer 2012 collection. It was the most colorful show, flowing dresses and frilly shirts, paired with cropped bleached denim jackets.
I completely dig the zebra jeans below. They are right in tune with the “animal” trend and wearing those, you can bring out your inner negative girl. And, you know what? Go for it! Just pair those with very high heels with a transparent best, and you are on your way!

Overalls Are Having A Moment

Video: Models On What They Ate During Fashion Week And How Their Feet Really Feel
To aid bid adieu to New York Fashion Week, we asked some of our preferred models two concerns: “How are your feet holding up?” and “What’s the last delicious meal you ate?” Catwalk veteran Hanne Gaby Odiele tell us, “My feet do not exist anymore — I lost my feet years ago.” Meanwhile, rising star Marie Piovesan had great luck with her shoes this week, which was “uncommon and cool.” But what was the most popular meal for models this season? Bette Franke, Nyasha Matonhodze, and Mackenzie Drazan all loved their sushi. Jourdan Dunn, on the other hand, ate BonChon Korean fried chicken (instant foodie points!) soon after one particular of her fittings. Appreciate it all in the video.
New Balance Road To London Sneakers Collection
We’ve talked about London hosting the 2012 Olympic Games – it is a unique event, meant to inspire so several related products! It just so happens that I’m on a sneakers spree (I think I feel summer approaching… plus: Isabel Marant’s $ 700 – something sneakers had me seeking for much more affordable possibilities) and I identified this charming new collection from New Balance.
New Balance Road To London is a collection – you guessed it proper – inspired and devoted to the 2012 Olympic Games. The iconic 420 and 574 with an Union Jack makeover an critical detail – each models are said to be handmade in a Flimby factory (the house of New Balance, situated along England’s North West coast) which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year! I love the new sneakers! I’d take the “Road to London” any day! Would you?

In keeping with our complete fashion week coverage, we would be remiss if we didn’t acknowledge one particular of the most buzzed-about shows of the week—The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, that is. On Monday and Tuesday, more than two,000 dogs strutted their stuff in Madison Square Garden, vying for best marks in showmanship and class (not as opposed to the designers and models at the moment holding court at Lincoln Center!). We couldn’t aid but notice that some of the top dogs at Westminster seemed to be taking cues from runway looks. Click through for a handful of option comparisons!

It was all about menswear yesterday at Made Fashion Week &mdash the lineup included Patrick Ervell, Public School, and Simon Spurr, amongst others. So it tends to make sense that, when attendees popped into our Fashion Confession Booth at Milk Studios, it was mostly to gossip about how hot the guys had been. Even so, there was a single lady who was strictly clothes-minded, lamenting that Carlos Campos does not do womenswear (how about it,  Carlos?). Appreciate the video, full with a lot of European accents, and check back soon for installments from backstage &mdash you know hair and makeup folks (and models!) are going to have tons to say soon after going so numerous days on so little sleep.

#NYFW: Hervé Léger Fall 2012
Just when you thought there was absolutely nothing left to do to the bandage dress, Max and Lubov Azria locate a new way to update the sexy silhouette. Playing with themes of seduction and restraint, the Azrias’ Fall 2012 collection relied on harness facts. An equestrian influence prevailed with models channeling both the horse and rider, with a bit of dominatrix in between. This season’s standouts included a black gown that fused a form fitting drop waist bodice with a soft flowy pleated train and a shorter ombre number.
