Ivanka Trump’s Shoes Collection

Ivanka Trump has decided she can’t hold it any longer and she’ll be coming at us with a shoes collection. From 75 to 100 models with prices ranging from to 0, the shoes will also be accompanied by a handbags collection. Because we’re so worth it!

Now I just have this tiny, honest question from the bottom of my heart: will the Trump name be enough to sell these ordinary-looking, average styled shoes? Because (in the same honest key), if I have to choose, I’ll be definitely getting some Jessica Simpson shoes instead of these Trumps! How about you? (wwd via ccl)

Summer’s Best Draped Dresses

Beautifully draped gowns remain popular and for good reason; the flattering shape and comfortable silhouette, make the style easy to wear. The elegant folds create an air of whimsical grace. The trend had a strong presence on the Fall 2010 Couture runways as well; Jean Paul Gaultier and Giorgio Armani were particularly enamored with the look and sent models out channeling their inner goddess.  Get the look with these ethereal picks:

Bald Models With Molting Beards Hit the Runway in Berlin

The problem with showing a collection on professional male and female models made up to look yellow in the face and bald with thin scraps of facial hair is that it detracts completely from the clothes. Who cares what a chick’s boxer shorts look like when she is topless and molting a beard, like a long-lost would-be Coneheads character, if only she had the full cone? But this is what designer Patrick Mohr’s hair and makeup looked like in his show at Berlin Fashion Week today. The images are startling and disturbing, but the show may have gotten the most attention of any at this Berlin Fashion Week. The event isn’t as big as Paris, Milan, New York, or even London Fashion Weeks, but designers are known to take more risks, The Wall Street Journal notes. Mohr’s show is just one example of that, along with further proof that unkempt beards are happening. Or maybe this is a comment on some sort of hot new German reverse hormone therapy! See more behind-the-scenes and runway shots in the slideshow. (Some images NSFW.)

Christian Dior Fall 2010 Couture Collection

Untitled-3 copy

The Christian Dior Fall 2010 Couture collection was a veritable bouquet of creativity. Each piece gracefully depicted a tulip, recalling the “Tulip Line” designed by Christian Dior in 1953. John Galliano’s genius knew no bounds as he created the elegant floral presentation in homage to the late designer. The individual pieces worn by the models were colorful and vibrant, enchanting the audience with a glorious array of colors. One of the most intriguing aspects of the ensembles was the florist plastic that was utilized as head wrapping for the models. This season Galliano put things into full bloom and we’re feeling the flower power.

Ashley And Mary Kate Olsen Sunglasses Collection With Absolute Black Design

It’s one of my firmest convictions (at least regarding the celebs-related anything) – if you made a name for yourself, there’s nothing stopping you from branding it! Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are the living (double) example of how to make a living off of your name.

Even if they have a stylist employed for official events, the twins have a fashion industry on their hands as they’re coming out with yet more products to solidify their trendsetters status in the eyes of the world. And I meant every word I said: Mary – Kate and Ashley Olsen now have a range of sunglasses ready to hit stores this November. Ranging between $150 and $265, this is the teaser of a more important collection set for the Spring of 2011. The two models presented now (the Fairfax and the Hudson) can also be found in a limited luxury edition – with 24karat gold coated lenses at $425. Wouldn’t you want some quality golden eye vision? I think I’ll stick with Dior’s contact lenses if I absolutely have to have some gold in my eyes! (via)
