Yves Saint Laurent Men’s Fall 2012: Justify My Love

PARIS–On a cold morning inside the bright lengthy hallway of the Sorbonne, designer Stefano Pilati sent out a stellar collection for YSL menswear set to a luscious soundtrack by Scanner, with Sam Wagstaff reading an Andy Warhol interview and a couple of words from Madonna’s Justify My Enjoy.
The backdrop at the entrance of the white marble floor runway was a giant black board with words written, then erased and then rewritten to correspond with the words spoken in the soundtrack.
Perhaps this activity recommended the designer’s personal ideas. In his earlier men’s collections, Mr. Pilatti had numerous. Some of them worked and remained some had been discarded and resurrected and some had been just erased forever.

The Sartorialist’s Scott Schuman and Garance Doré Take Pictures of ‘True Love’
What could say “I enjoy you” much better than a fat, blingin’ rock from Tiffany & Co.? The well-known jeweler seems to think you can. For years, couples have looked to Tiffany’s to supply them with tangible symbols of their adore, and now, just in time for Valentine’s Day, the retailer desires its buyers to assist them define the emotion.
Yesterday, Tiffany & Co’s whatmakestruelove.com, a “unique guide to matters of the heart,” launched an interactive photo weblog, “True Really like in Images.” The retailer tapped the talents of street style photographer Scott Schuman (of Sartorialist fame) and his girlfriend Garance Doré to curate a collection of images that will serve as a source of inspiration for future users. The blog attributes snapshots of canoodling couples (not them sadly), his and her housewares (like “S” and “G” mugs ahem), and handwritten enjoy notes. Aw.
Starting January 23, ordinary lovebirds can upload their own pictures to the gallery, by way of a special filter app obtainable on the iTunes store. Capture your enjoy under the haze of a Tiffany Blue, peach, or black and white. Instagram users can participate by adding a #truelovepictures hashtag to their entries. There are also photobooths set up in Tiffany stores at Fifth Avenue in New York, Old Bond Street in London, and at the Ginza boutique in Tokyo exactly where couples can take shots in shop and upload them to the website. It’s adore on a international scale, ya’ll!
How About Green Day’s Spring Summer 2012 Ad Campaign For John Varvatos?
When I first saw the John Varvatos Spring Summer 2012 Ad Campaign, I decided to ignore it. Because I really though it was a (photoshop)fake. I still think it’s manufactured, but I happened to stumble across a Green Day classic video while trying to find a decent cartoon channel for my kids to watch (I’m really not good with television, I told you neither I nor Adored Husband count TV watching among our free time activities – we do watch a looooot of movies and TV series – only on DVD and BluRay. But I digress). So back to Green Day: I saw this video with them and this John Varvatos campaign popped in my mind. So what if it isn’t real?
Who cares nowadays? It’s a good remake (ahem adaptation) of a famous moment in time, so it passes! It’s an interesting salad of Philippe Petit’s Man on Wire and Ebbets’ Constructors Lunch, all with a rock’n’roll grin. Would people remember the original and buy Varvatos to pay homage to that? (I laughed out loud writing that last sentence!) Will they buy Varvatos because they love Green Day? Who cares? It’s just another fashion ad campaign at the end of the day and in few months another shot will erase this one from our memory!

Report: Beyonce gives birth to a baby girl
Fresh reports are swirling that Beyonce has given birth to a baby girl. According to news reports the singing superstar has welcomed a daughter named Ivy Blue Carter.
Beyonce and husband Jay-Z are stated to have rented out the entire fourth floor of Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan in preparation of the birth. In order to ensure the couple’s privacy, hospital staff put tape over security cameras and forced staff to hand in their mobile phones to avoid images of the newborn getting released. And the bill for this luxury… a cool $ 1.three million, the New York Daily News reports.
Amongst the very first to congratulate the pair was Rihanna, who tweeted: “Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih.”
