Dare To Wear Violet Darkling’s Jewelry?
I know there’s a special place for goth and Twilight-things related nowadays. Still, Violet Darkling’s daring and magical jewelry goes way beyond the shallow of what a trend really is. Wear it today toss it tomorrow, that’s not how I would go with Violet Darkling’s creations!
Pieces of fairy tale, torn from our childhood fantastic time, Violet Darkling’s creations are downright fabulous. Click through to discover more (click here for the gallery)!

Who is Violet Darkling? It’s the artistic alter ego of Louisa Richwhite, a passionate designer of New Zealand with a weakness for mystical and magical things. Her artistic education was perfected in London and also through her work with New Zealand fashion designers Karen Walker and Mala Brajcovic.

There’s little else I would like to add except that Violet Darkling’s first collection – Treasures of Darkling Wood is just as enchanting and gorgeous as I would like any hidden treasure to be. So what say you? Dare to wear the Treasures of Darkling Wood by Violet Darkling? (Violet Darkling via laem)

Jessica Biel’s Red Gown Matched the Red Carpet

Bright-red clothes in classic shapes were all over the fall runways, and while most women wear the shade to stand out, Jessica Biel wore it and blended in. In fact, at the U.K. premiere of The A-Team in London, the red carpet matched the color of Biel’s dress so exactly, it looked as if it were all one piece. (Hey, long trains are in!)
Do you think Biel wore her red well, or should celebs try a little harder not to match the carpet with the drapes?

Acne debuts at London Fashion week
I’ve never been eager of running around at London Fashion Week, but as a true sweed (haha) and a big fan of Swedish brands, these news is great and they make me want to to go LFW even more, and it’s not oooonly to hang out with the amazing Yvan Rodic as previous seasons. Acne will from this coming fall be showing their well-done, amazingly, craving causing collections in London. Be there or be…missing something extra ordinary good!!!

Peaches Geldof’s Dress Matches Her Tats

Peaches Geldof was the picture of summer at the Inception premiere in London yesterday, wearing a white dress with a ruched bodice and floral pattern that kind of matches the floral tattoos she has all over her body.
How do you feel about dresses that match a person’s tattoos? Genius use of body art or too matchy-matchy?

Making of C’N’C Campaign Autumn 2011 Video

“The natural setting of London’s Richmond Park is the ideal backdrop for the latest C’N’C campaign. This perfect mix of the bucolic and the urban is where Lizzy Jagger (daughter of legendary rocker Mick and that icon of style Jerry Hall) and Jethro Cave (son of the eclectic Nick with his rebel spirit and dark personality) will move and pose as they interpret the urban and wild style of the brand under the masterful direction of photographer Dan Martensen.”

Pretty Green to Open London Flagship

While our London writer may have passed on this one, the chance to put Liam’s face up on Selectism is not only fun but a stabbing pain to others. We’ve gotten word (and an image) teasing the opening of the Pretty Green Flagship coming to London.

Katy Perry Tries to Go Hipster

She of the bio-luminescent sea-creature–esque ballgowns, Katy Perry, was spotted in London … not wearing fruits!! Not looking like a chew toy is a big step for her, but black-camo skinnies? Purple pumps? That sweater?
Do you like Katy Perry’s hipster attempt, or do you prefer her fruit salad of stage looks?

Liberty Of London And Target 2010
I love flowers! Love them in my garden, love them in my house, love them on my blouse, dress, you name it! I love flowers! So it was only natural that I love Liberty of London as well!
Especially since they’re coming back for a second season chez Target! Floral mugs, floral bikes. Floral bed sheets. Is always great to surround yourself with happy flowers. Makes life sunnier, doesn’t it? (via)
