Chanel Perfection Lumière Foundation Review
Last week saw the launch of Chanel‘s Perfection Lumière foundation, the product that gave the models at their pre-fall 2012 show in Paris such beautiful, luminous skin. We told you all about it here – and now we’ve tried it ourselves so we can tell you what the foundation itself is like.
This is shade 32 Rose Beige, which suits medium-fair skin tones with pink undertones (can I just say by the way, I love the way they’ve laid out the shades with this product, in a table that you can cross reference with skin colour and undertone – see end) – sadly I am pale as pale can be, without being dead, so this won’t show off its skills at colour matching.

Check out more from Dita Von Teese’s Von Follies lingerie collection

A couple of months ago I gave you a sneaky look at Dita Von Teese’s new lingerie collection, Von Follies. Now I can reveal to you a bit more from the collection which will launch exclusively for Target Australia from 8th February.
Available just in time for Valentine’s Day (very clever!) the collection consists of 26 pieces from sexy bras to briefs. It will include balconette bras, high-cut underwear, G-strings, garters, bustiers and fitted corselettes. The burlesque beauty has also incorporated fabrics such as leopard-print satin, lace trims, intricate ribbon detailing, mesh, black fishnet and “signature Dita blue treatments.”

Olympia Le-Tan Launches New Italian Cinema-Inspired Collection for Pitti W; Will Launch Apparel for Fall 2012

“I rather like to see somebody I do not know wearing my bag in the street and I have no thought how they got it,” Olympia Le-Tan said at the press conference before the presentation of the new collection of bags she’d developed as the unique guest of Pitti W, the smaller women’s counterpart to Florence’s famed menswear trade show, Pitti Uomo. “Of course, it’s good when Natalie Portman is wearing one at a premiere, too,” she added.
Le-Tan, who began her style profession beneath Gilles Dufour at Chanel at just 19, has earned the adoration of fashion insiders like Sofia Coppola and Olivier Zahm for each her hand-crafted book clutches and her DJ capabilities at Paris hot spot Le Baron. As the very first accessories designer invited to present at Pitti W, Le-Tan churned out an appropriately Italian-themed collection comprised of 36 bags inspired by Italian cinema and literature. “I studied Italian literature and chose [to make bags] according to the books and motion pictures I like,” Le-Tan said, switching fluidly among Italian, English and French, answering every single reporter in his or her native tongue. Final season Le-Tan introduced a milk carton and cook book clutches, and for her Pitti collection, she introduced a round film canister shape, each and every embroidered with a classic Italian film like La Dolce Vita, Senso, and Riso Amaro.

It’s here! Urban Decay Naked2 palette hits Debenhams

Urban Decay’s Naked palette was the brand’s bestselling eyeshadow palette ever, and continued to sell out every single time it was restocked for most of last year. Containing a selection of non-boring neutrals that are ideal for creating almost everything from gilded lids to a deep brown smoky eye, it is the ultimate ‘does it all’ eyeshadow kit for any eye colour.
Now Urban Decay are back with Naked2, the sister palette, which contains 12 a lot more neutral shadows. Obviously there’s only so significantly you can do with browns, beiges, golds and greys, so a lot of the colours are really similar to the original palette, though there are few much more greyish taupes and fewer shimmering golds this time about, plus a quite matte black for a genuine touch of smoke.
It launches nationwide in the UK on 4th February, but Debenhams have an exclusive pre-launch so you can order it now for £36.

Anne Hathaway’s campaign for Tod’s Spring 2012 collection

It was a case of two is far better than 1 for Anne Hathaway who even though shooting Tod’s Autumn/Winter 2011 campaign in London decided to get the Spring/Summer 2012 campaign in the can at the same time.
Regardless of the ads becoming photographed a although ago this is our very first appear at the photos taken by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. While her prior campaign saw her draped across the hood of a red convertible, for Spring Anne is searching clean and sharp. Wearing a chic beige outfit, the newly-engaged actress poses in a pair of pink ballerina flats, clutch purse and signature Tod’s shopper bag.
“I have been a longtime fan of Tod’s and was very excited to be a portion of exploring a new side of their identity with the launch of their Signature Collection,” Hathaway said.

Get ready for Viktor & Rolf’s new men’s fragance – Spicebomb

If (like Cheryl Cole, Katy Perry and Frankie Sandford) you are a fan of Viktor & Rolf’s cult female fragrance Flowerbomb, get prepared for its attractive huge brother!
Spicebomb is due to hit London department store Harrods on January 23rd, for an exclusive worldwide pre-launch ahead of international launches in the coming months and a national UK roll-out on March 7th.
The men’s scent has been created for the fashion duo by perfumier Olivier Polge, who also worked on Flowerbomb and Eau Mega for Viktor & Rolf. It sounds like it quite significantly lives up to its name, with notes of chilli, saffron, leather, tobacco and vetiver, along with bergamot, grapefruit and pink pepper. The bottle is a chunkier, heavier version of Flowerbomb’s faceted ball, made to look like a hand grenade, complete with the trademark V&R ‘wax’ stamp as the pin.
