Fashion Inspiration: Marie from Walt Disney’s The Aristocats

Continuing our ever-common Disney fashion series, this week we have a new film for inspiration! Walt Disney’s The Aristocats is undoubtedly amongst my preferred animated films. The charming storyline follows a household of felines whose plush life gets turned upside down when they are suddenly cat-napped and taken to far away and unfamiliar location. Fortunately for Duchess and her three kittens, Marie, Toulouse, and Berlioz, they meet a street-intelligent alley cat named Thomas O’Malley who aid them uncover their way back home.
In the movie, Marie is easily a single of the most loveable characters. Her feminine charm is excellent inspiration for your own wardrobe – if you have a super girly sense of style, this is the post for you!
Fresh Gets Champagne Inspiration
Fresh’s Clicquot in the Snow
About those gifting suites at Sundance. They supply everything—from Grey Goose cocktails and Ryka sneakers to Burton swag and NineZeroOne Braids, from Moroccan Oil to McCafe cookies with a side of Puma and Patron. Fundamentally, you could eat and groom and drink your way down the strip with no spending a dollar. But there was a single space that felt like the Bryant Park to the rest of Park City’s Chelsea galleries—the Sorel/Fresh lounge.
The Sorel boots are apparent (it didn’t stop snowing for at least 24 hours), but the Fresh merchandise guaranteed a slow and steady move from a single side of the room to the other. The cosmetics brand teamed up with Veuve Clicquot for Veuve in the Snow, a selection of the brand’s most moisturizing trial sized merchandise packaged in a simple black case, it also consists of Citron de Vigne, a scent inspired by the famous champagne.
It’s going to retail for $ 60, with a value virtually twice that, at all Fresh shops. (We’d suggest putting that saved dough toward the brand’s new Crème Ancienne Infusion Toner. Whipped up by the exact same monks who make Fresh’s Crème Ancienne moisturizer, we promise it will do one thing magical to your face.) Appear for it in stores subsequent week!
Jean Paul Gaultier Couture Spring 2012 Amy Winehouse Inspired Collection
Now that’s a enjoyable Haute Couture occasion! Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2012 Couture was such a stunning show, so colorful, so meaningful, so modern and anchored in our current reality! I loved it!
It was practically completely inspired by Amy Winehouse, which we know, was a source of fashion inspiration for several designers and brands (keep in mind her collection for Fred Perry). Jean Paul Gaultier produced this incredible couture soup based on Amy Winehouse’s dechiré style, added some corset and lace to spice things up and served it with a pinch of his usual rock’n’roll. As usual, I chosen a handful of models I liked the most, but feel free to check out the complete collection here.

Grazia Every day: What is it about Notes from a Modest Island that you enjoy so a lot?
Mary Portas: I really like the way that Bill Bryson creates very funny, extremely tough hitting messages with no offending everyone. I think he’s brilliant and wanted to meet him for such a lengthy time that I at some point persuaded him to give a speak on travel at a client’s occasion. I assume I had expected VIP behaviour, but he was so self-effacing he arrived on foot.
Grazia Day-to-day: Who will you be recommending it to?
MP: I already advised it, to my daughter when she was 11. She disappeared with it, and all I could hear were gales of laughter!
Fashion Inspiration: Hart of Dixie’s Zoe Hart

Fashion darling Rachel Bilson stars as Zoe Hart, the title character of the new hit TV show Hart of Dixie. She plays a very fashionable doctor who recently moved from New York City to the small town of Bluebell, Alabama. The true southern belle, Lemon Breeland, criticizes Zoe’s modern style choices which include short shorts, high waisted skirts, and clingy dresses.
Two weeks ago, I wrote about Lemon Breeland’s style from Hart of Dixie, and I received a ton of comments wanting a post on style inspiration from Zoe Hart. Without further ado, here’s a breakdown of Zoe’s style and three outfits inspired by her look.

Movie Inspiration: Fashion Inspired by Desperately Seeking Susan

Film is my all-time favored source of fashion inspiration. From blockbuster hits to tiny indie flicks, you can bet that a team of individuals spent hours making the best sartorial look that aids tell their story in a cohesive way. Oftentimes, the actor or actress has some input in the style of the character they play — and that was absolutely the case in the movie Desperately Searching for Susan.
Madonna was cast in this film largely because of the appear and feel they wanted to bring to the film. Her style defined the appear of a decade, and Desperately Searching for Susan serves as the best lookbook for the era.
Fashion Inspiration: Disney Pixar’s Ratatouille

Disney Pixar’s Ratatouille (2007) has easily turn into 1 of their most loved pc-animated films. Centered about the message, “Anyone can cook,” the story follows Remy, a rat who loves to cook and dreams of becoming a chef. Then fate actions in and takes Remy on a journey to Paris. Even though there, he befriends a human named Linguini, and together, they team up to live out each and every others’ dreams. Overall, the flick is a heartwarming tale about two unlikely friends who come together and do some thing wonderful.
Being a Disney Pixar animated film, Ratatouille is beautifully done, with the settings and characters brought to life on screen in stunning detail. Simply because of this, the film is excellent to use as a source of inspiration for your personal private wardrobe.
