The dates for MBFWA
No news on who’ll be appearing just yet, but the dates you’ll need to know for Australian fashion week have just landed in our inbox. If plan on attending you better make certain that you have April 30th till May 4th clear in your calendar.
We also have had our a first peek into the new branding for the event, with Mercedes-Benz retaking the reigns as principal sponsor.
Filipa Fino’s Forthcoming Magazine to Be Called Fino File
Filipa Fino’s new venture, an online magazine called Fino File, will debut in February and be published every month. Fino, Vogue‘s longtime senior accessories editor prior to her abrupt departure this past June, said she’s been working on the magazine for two years. And there’ll be a taste of what’s to come in a special holiday gift guide, a mini-issue of sorts, which will include designers’ wish lists and Fino’s own “ultimate finds.” (There’ll also be a section for teen/tween readers, curated by her daughter.) Donatella calls in a Prince
We were already jealous of our Style Director, Paula Reed, hitting New York next week for the grand catwalk debut of the Versace and H&M collaboration, but now we are worryingly envious. For not only will she be enjoying Donatella’s hospitality, going to probably one of the funnest catwalk shows ever, but she will also be front row and centre when Prince plays. Yes, Prince! Bloomin’ Prince. Who we missed when he played at the Matthew Williamson show in 2007. We’re telling you now, if Paula doesn’t bring back the pocket sized pop legend in her tote, there is no telling what we’ll do!
(Oh and Nicki Minaj is also playing, but she’s clearly for a different generation)
