Just simply because Fashion Week attendees are making mental lists of which pieces to buy come fall does not mean that it’s out with the old and in with the new for each and every must-have jacket, dress, or shoe, there’s a beloved item that they have no plans to part with. From the front row at Herve Leger to the presentation floor at Alice + Olivia, right here are the pieces that you will never ever, ever locate on the racks at Goodwill.

Nikki Reed: “All of my massive, baggy, chunky sweaters that are very good for cuddling with your pillow in bed. I have my mother’s [old sweaters]!”

Kelly Rutherford: “When I was carrying out Melrose Place I bought my initial Hermes bag. It was pre-Sex and the City, pre-every thing, and it was just a small box leather, black 28 Kelly bag. Back then they would take it out of the shelf and put gloves on to show you the bag, and it was a whole issue, a very unique issue. Now it is a diverse thing, but it was the initial factor I purchased for myself. This was 20-one thing years ago! That’s one particular piece I would cherish for that reason.”

What do you have in your Fashion Week survival kit?
I have these entirely great little items known as Wisps. I’m obsessed with them. They’re these tiny toothbrushes. I enjoy them. I usually have them for my son on the plane. They’re in my survival kit. They’re amazing!

Here’s What the Few Occupiers Who Actually Showed up at Calvin Klein Had to Say About the Fashion Industry

Here’s What the Few Occupiers Who Actually Showed up at Calvin Klein Had to Say About the Fashion IndustryEven though Occupy Wall Street fell brief of its initial objectives for a rally held outside yesterday’s Calvin Klein show, they did offer a a lot more academic soundtrack to show-goers waiting for seating assignments in the dreary rain. If you ask us, it was sort of a nice change of scenery from the 300+ shows just before it—fashion week would finish as it often does with Calvin Klein, so why not go out with a bang?

The affiliation’s original plan was to march in droves from the internet site of their former encampment at Zucotti Park, all the way uptown to the web site of Calvin Klein’s two runway shows held in the Garment District. They vowed to paint the eyes of 99 fashion sector insiders in red—in honor of the UC Davis students who were doused with pepper spray late last year, and if that fell brief they would operate to shut down the label’s 3pm showing.

Turning the corner onto the show’s 39th street location, we were expecting to be hit with a drum circle of Occupiers screaming out political verbiage to an uninterested crowd, but had been instead greeting by precisely two slight protesters who stood on the opposing corner: A conservative Virginia native, and a 37-year-old from the Bronx with glittered dreadlocks and a fox-trimmed overcoat named Felix Rivera-Pitre. Rivera-Pitre contended that, “Calvin Klein has no background in social justice, [his AIDS charity perform] is a lot more like a mirage, a way for him to get away from paying taxes, and [his recent donation to FIT] does not have any meaningful impact. It is funding an market that makes the difference among the haves and haves not much more clear.” The Virginian, who wished to go unnamed, added, “The fashion globe encourages individuals to invest funds on items they don’t require rather of feeding hungry people. That doesn’t save the world.”

Watch: Sh*t Fashion Girls Say During Fashion Week with Derek Blasberg

Watch: Sh*t Fashion Girls Say During Fashion Week with Derek Blasberg
Need a post-fashion week giggle? Well here you go.

Presenting, Sh*t Fashion Girls Say During Fashion Week–a hilarious portrayal of all the stuff that comes out of fashion people’s mouths during NYFW. And from, “Ugh, I can never get a cab!” to “Oo, Are you going to the after party tonight?” the new video totally nails it. Plus, Derek Blasberg is in it, so it’s kind of like the essence of fashion week all bottled up in less than three minutes.

And, as much as we hate to admit it, we’re completely guilty of uttering some of these things. (What, sometimes, we really can’t get a cab!) Although we’d also like to nominate “Hey lady!” and, “How are you surviving fashion week?” for the next installment.

Getting a style chameleon and red-carpet normal, you’d consider Evan Rachel Wood was in New York for Fashion Week. But when we spoke with her at her Mark Hotel suite, she revealed she was really in town to film—gasp!—a romantic comedy. “After so many dramas, I’m undertaking my very first rom-com!” she enthuses. “I’m super excited about it. It’s named A Case of You and it also stars Justin Extended, Vince Vaughn, and Sam Rockwell, who are all truly funny.”

Wood’s junior high boyfriend also sounds pretty funny. Extended before she became the face of Gucci Guilty and Gucci Guilty Intense fragrances, she says her go-to was Victoria’s Secret Strawberries &amp Champagne. “I’m not even kidding!” she laughs. “I think a lot of girls went via that stage. I started wearing their perfume the second I began thinking about boys. And it entirely worked—I got a boyfriend and he would take my empty bottles of Strawberries &amp Champagne and smell them whenever he missed me and I wasn’t there.”

Weird? Not so, says Wood: “We all do it. It’s just like when we take someone’s shirt when they’re away—we smell it and it is like, ahhhh. You feel like they’re there with you.”
