Timo Weiland Fall 2010 Hair Test
In preparing for their sophomore season at New York Fashion Week, designers Timo Weiland and Alan Eckstein again collaborated with hairstylist and ION Studio co-founder Leonardo Mannetti. Meeting with Mannetti yesterday for the first of two hair tests, the designers described their fall 2010 collection as “The Age of Innocence meets Gangs of New York.” According to Manetti, however, the hairstyle is more ’60s-inspired. Using Davines products to create the do, Manetti teased hair at the crown and fashioned a rectangular knot in the back.

Designer Lia Kes Opens Bay Area Boutique
Israeli born designer Lia Kes, whose eponymous line is carried in stores across the US and Europe, has just opened her first boutique in San Francisco. A true utilitarian, Kes’ fluid separates easily transition from day to night, are affordably priced, and embody youthful elegance. We caught up with the designer at her shop unveiling to ask her the practical questions about her favorite Bay Area spots.
