Geri Halliwell revives her Union Jack Spice Girls dress for Next
Erm… is it 1997 once more? Have I transported back to the era of platform trainers, child doll dresses, and funky hairstyles? Nope, it nonetheless is 2012 only a person must have forgotten to tell Geri Halliwell.
Almost 15 years following she burst onto the stage in *that* Union Jack super minidress and red boots at the 1997 BRIT Awards, the former Spice Girl has reinvented the iconic frock. What was once produced from a tea towel by her sister Karen is now set to be reinvented as component of Halliwell’s summer 2012 collection for Subsequent. Only this time, the hem is longer (no flashing knickers here!) and rather of a tea towel, it features sequins and a cowl neckline.
“The Union Jack dress was my favourite stage outfit and with every thing that is happening this year such as the Olympics and the Jubilee it just felt the proper time to design an updated version of the dress for my range with Subsequent,” Halliwell stated in a statement.

Don’t forget that green emerald dress worn by Channing Tatum’s wife, Jenna Dewan, at the Golden Globes this year? I liked it – it was daringly diverse and who doesn’t adore a princess gown with lengthy train? It appears that (a single) Jenna Dewan, Katherine Heigl and Vanessa Hudgens share the same stylist or (two) each Katherine and Vanessa really like a very good princess gown with long train (wink). Either way, all 3 were wearing quite related dresses from the exact same designer – Maria Lucia Hohan.

The week I let my boyfriend dress me – Day 4!
Yet another day, an additional opportunity for my boyfriend to prove that some of the fashion stuff I’ve rambled on about over the final three and a half years has rubbed off on him…
And I have to say, this is my favourite day yet. He opted for red once again (Jess will be so proud) this time selecting a tomato-coloured 70s style midi dress from Butterfly by Matthew Williamson that I picked up in the sale at Debenhams the end of last year.
The dress in fact comes with a stretchy tan belt with a butterfly buckle, but that was swiftly swapped for something a bit more flashy, my trusty gold and black braided belt from Accessorize.
