Susan Style – Siwy Hannah in Varnish
Hi everyone! I hope you’re all off to a great begin for the new year so far. Today’s assessment is on Siwy Hannah Coated Jeans. I like the thought of the entire leather and waxed denim trend, but I had yet to find a pair that was specifically what I was looking for. That is, till I located these. These are Siwy Hannah Coated Jeans. I’m certainly a fan of Siwy Jeans, specifically the Hannah style. So I currently knew I’d like the cut on these jeans. I wasn’t positive about the coated appear. But as soon as I saw these in individual, I fell in really like.
I discover that a lot of of the other types are either too waxy, too shiny, or too costly (some of the leather skinnies are upwards of $ 800+). These are a wax coated style jean, but I like that they aren’t incredibly waxy looking. They have a a lot more subtle wax coated finish to them. And I like that they are not as overly shiny as some of the other coated denim that I’ve observed about. The color is called Varnish which is a deep burgundy color.
These are a 5 pocket style. The rear pockets have Siwy’s signature quilted design. The rise measurement is 6 ¾ inches, leg opening is 10 inches, and the inseam is 28 inches. (Measurements may vary slightly among diverse sizes.) These have a far more cropped fit, hitting well above my ankles which I really like. I prefer my skinnies to be far more cropped or at least hit just at my ankles. I do not like when my skinny jeans have too much bunching at the bottom hem. It’s a individual preference.

2 for the price of 1? Made in Chelsea’s Millie tries Bleulab reversible jeans
When I visited the Donna Ida denim boutique at the end of final year, all the team had been super-excited about the impending arrival of the new reversible jeans from Bleulab. Giving you two pairs of jeans for the value of one particular, these premium denims are exclusive to Donna Ida in the UK, and come in a huge choice of colours. Each and every pair has a coated side and a plain side in two contrasting shades and can be worn both techniques.
Luckily for you lot, this time you don’t have to suffer my modelling attempts to see the jeans. Created in Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh visited the Donna Ida denim boutique on Draycott Avenue in Chelsea and styled up two pairs to show how she’d put on them, and we have the images.
I know Rosie is the resident Made in Chelsea fashion blogger, but maybe Millie need to join in? She’s certainly got all the classic blogger poses down to a fine art. Check out the sultry pout and being aware of smirk. She’s a all-natural…

Susan Style – J Brand Milla Skinny Jeans
Hello Denimology friends! With all of the new patterned denim out this season, I decided to try my first pair taking a safer route. I wanted to start with a pair that’s more subtle. These are J Brand’s brand new Milla Skinnies. Being that this is my first pair of patterned denim this season, I haven’t quite placed an opinion about the trend yet. But after trying this pair, my interest has been sparked. What caught my attention about this particular pair is the wash.
The color is called Mahogany, which is a mix between purple and burgundy. I love the color on these. There’s a plaid pattern on the front and back in a faded black color. I like that the plaid is more subtle and not very loud and obvious. The outer side legs have a panel that is without the plaid pattern, giving a slimming effect to the legs.
The fit on these is amazing. Made of 98% cotton and 2% lycra, these are made of a very soft and stretchy Japanese twill material. They feel as if they’ve already been worn in. The amount of stretch in the material adds to the comfort of these jeans with a very flattering body hugging effect. I’d say these run true to size. The rise is 7 ½ inches, and inseam is 27 inches. These feel a bit more cropped than most other skinny jeans that I’ve tried, which is great for showcasing a great pair of shoes. Although the leg opening is only 9 inches, the amount of stretch in the material allows for an easier squeeze when putting these on. (Keep in mind that measurements may vary slightly with different sizes.)
Brand To Watch: Twelveounce Denim Lab
12ozDenim are a new men’s denim brand from LA that has popped up onto our radar this week. As the name recommend their jeans are created from 12oz denim, which indicates they are not the sort of lightweight jeans that will rip right after a handful of months wear. The denim is sourced from mills in Kaihara (which is often a very good sign) and comes in restricted supplies. The jeans themselves are put together is Los Angeles and they tell me that they pride themselves on their attention to detail, which is reassuring! For much more information check out their internet site 12ozdenim.com or pop along to see them at their booth at Project in Las Vegas next month.

Victoria Beckham teases us with a short film for sister line

There is no doubt about it, Victoria Beckham does not know when to cease. On best of operating a household full of little young children, the former Spice Girl continues to pump out the fashion lines one after another. Her affinity with cute tiny dresses has led her to launch a sister line (considerably loved by Katy Perry and Michelle Williams) which she is celebrating with a brief viral film.
This is not the very first time we have noticed her do this. Victoria has worked with illustrator and film-maker, Quentin Jones just before on a film to promote her new Spring/Summer 2012 denim collection. Speaking of her second collaboration with Jones, she says she was “great to operate with again! She’s cool, has an intriguing vision and her style fits so perfectly with the Victoria line!”
It seems Jones also has some lovely issues to say about working with Victoria, describing her as a “fairly cool girl.” Beckham tends to make a cameo look in the film, which Jones says was an “honour” to be “directing a person like Victoria” at this stage in her career. I can’t wait to see that! In the meantime check out a teaser clip of the film beneath…
