Alexander McQueen was found dead Thursday morning in his London apartment. News of the loss hit the Bryant Park Tent at the end of the BCBG show and the industry’s collective jaw dropped. His family released a statement shortly after requesting privacy at this difficult time. “On behalf of Lee McQueen’s family, Alexander McQueen today announces the tragic news that Lee McQueen, the founder and designer of the Alexander McQueen brand has been found dead at his home.  At this stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with Lee’s family. ”

The brilliant British designer was in the midst of working on his Fall 2010 collection and his McQ presentation was scheduled to today at 3pm in NYC at Milk Studios; the presentation has ofcourse been canceled.  After seeing his genius Spring 2010 collection, we can only imagine how incredible it was going to be. GlamChic mourns the loss of this creative innovator and iconic designer.alexandermcqueendead Fashion’s Tragic Loss: Alexander McQueen Dead at 40

Kim Kardashian’s Fashion Week Schedule

kardashianatfashionweek Kim Kardashian’s Fashion Week Schedule
It’s hard to keep up with the Kardashians. With boyfriends playing in the Super Bowl, husbands on the court, sisters giving birth, and promoting random products, the family is always quite busy. But come New York Fashion Week, we know where Kim, Khloe and Kourtney will be. The Kardashian girls will be showing their Bebe Fall 2010 collection as part of STyle360 on Tuesday, February 16th at 10am. The night before they will party with the retailer and we’re expecting them to make several front row appearances in Bryant Park. Based on Kim’s obvious Herve Leger obsession, we’re assuming she will join the other pretty young things in Max Azria’s front row on Sunday, February 14th. We’ll let you know when we have our first sighting! ~Nola Weinstein
