Beyonce’s Post Baby Body Is Better Than Yours!
I’m genuinely amazed by Beyonce’s post child body! The gorgeous songbird emerged from the emotional depths of early motherhood to sustain her husband, Jay Z, who performed last night at the Carnegie Hall. Red Temperley dress, Louboutins, Alexander McQueen clutch and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. Now – now! Quit staring at that amazingly thin postpartum waist! a month right after giving birth! Don’t attempt that at property!

Beyoncé Steps Out for the First Time Post-Baby in Red Hot Temperley, McQueen and Louboutins

So Beyoncé went out final night. This typically wouldn’t be a notable news item, except no 1 has noticed her since the birth of baby Blue Ivy last month. She chose to make her post-partum debut last night at Carnegie Hall, where hubby Jay-Z performed. But that’s sufficient about him.
Beyoncé stepped out in a extremely tight red Temperley dress, Christian Louboutin shoes, and an Alexander McQueen clutch, according to BeyonceOnline. When you’re post-partum, your hair normally starts thinning and falling out and you nevertheless appear about four months pregnant. We suppose that the ruching on that dress is hiding a bit of bulge but…damn.

The Black Dresses From 2012 SAG Awards Red Carpet
Leading the black dresses pack was, undoubtedly, Emma Stone. It’s a subjective opinion, biensur, my fashperspective getting totally blindsided by Emma herself – I genuinely like her and particularly by the reality that she’s wearing Alexander McQueen. However, I can’t deny that Angelina Jolie comes in a dangerously close second position. But then again, she’s always amongst my favorites on any Red Carpet. And that’s surely not only because of her outfits.
However, considering that the black dresses were so nicely represented on the 2012 SAG Awards Red Carpet, I had to pick a very best from the rest, aside from my already mentioned weaknesses. And here I go, once again selecting two dresses: Stacy Keibler’s black lace Marchesa and Jayma Mays black sequined Reem Acra. A Fresh Take on the White Shirt
What piques the interest of hot new fashion talent? For some, it is the style path much less traveled. Veering away from the easy route – bling, novelty fabrics, out-there design – Central Saint Martins grads Levi Palmer & Matthew Harding discovered themselves attracted to the challenge of overhauling that staid wardrobe staple, the white shirt, and producing it fresh once again. Part of the cause was timing Harding graduated in 2010 in the depths of a deep recession. “Suddenly the notion of designing party dresses didn’t rather fit the mood,” the London native lately explained to Vogue (Feb. 2012). The duo looked to the past for inspiration, in particular the intricate pleating and hand finishing techniques of 30s couturiers like Madame Gres. With such a laser-like concentrate on unique details, the fact they limit their palette to a single garment tends to make sense as a distraction-totally free way of “highlighting the progressive beauty and craft of the garments.”
Just before launching palmer//harding at S/S 12 London Fashion Week, the pair was nominated for the prestigious ANDAM award 2011 in Paris. Their fledgling label is now sponsored by TOPSHOP’s NEWGEN program, which previously mentored Erdem, Christopher Kane & Alexander McQueen.

Daphne Guinness Will Be A Store Mannequin Again… At Printemps In Paris!

In May last year, The Honourable Daphne Guinness took to the shop-front windows of legendary department store Barney’s in New York to become a real life mannequin. Originally, we admit we were crossing fingers for something fun and cheeky from the haute couture collector, journalist, actress, muse, designer and so on – along the lines of Kim Catrall’s classic ‘80s movie, Mannequin – complete with an Andre Leon Talley-alike Hollywoooood (if you don’t know what we’re talking about, we’ve added a clip below of both the actual result and the old movie). But it was, in fact, a chance for this creative canvas to bring to life the fascinating process of her getting dressed and ready for the Met Ball. Haven’t you always pondered Daphne’s pre-party rituals? After all, we did recently learn that she uses nail varnish as lipstick… Onlookers peered in as Daphne donned a fully feathered and suitably dramatic Alexander McQueen gown to pose and drape her way around the enclosed space in her signature heel-less platform like a true pro.
She must’ve enjoyed the store stage SO much, that she’s set up a new Daphne mannequin project for February this year. However, there’s a slight twist on this one for Paris store Printemps… Photographer Nick Knight of SHOWstudio (with whom Daphne has collaborated on many a directional shoot) will create cutting edge 3D virtual versions of her wearing the likes of Maison Martin Margiela, Paco Rabanne and Gareth Pugh. Therefore, Daphne doesn’t even have to be there! Although we’re hoping she’ll make an appearance in the flesh. These windows will be unveiled on 6th February along with fashion videos by Knight of Daphne, an in-store SHOWstudio gallery edit of super-special pieces and an interactive display curated by multimedia artist Danny Brown, where passers-by can upload their own photos. And judging from last year’s crowd, we don’t think they’ll be strolling along in jeans and a scruffy tee…
