Kenzo’s Paris Spectacular

At this point in the season, everybody just desires to be wowed. After nearly a month of shows, there’s something to be mentioned for a bit of spectacle alongside the clothes and accessories the crowd’s truly come to see. So Carol Lim and Humberto Leon‘s Kenzo show, held at l’université Pierre et Marie Curie on the outskirts of Paris, was exactly what people wanted: fun—and cupcakes!
Tickets to the show were color coordinated to match every floor of the open interior, as well as the frosting on the cupcakes whipped up by Magnolia’s bakers (flown to Paris, from New York, just for the show). Every level of the university’s connected by diagonal escalators and staircases, so the models hopped on and off just before generating their way around the creating and assembling in a square formation at the bottom.

Zimmermann’s Summer Style Pop-Up Shop
We’re been loving Zimmermann’s style from down under ever since we met the Australian designers years ago at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. We have subsequently wanted everything we saw in their look books, but have been unable to find a store that carries it all. Just in time for summer, the brand has opened its first New York outpost at 112 Greene Street. The 2,500 square foot pop-up shop, which is stocked with easy summer dresses, chiffon jumpers, floral tanks, and dozens of amazing bikinis, will be open through the end of June. Its the perfect spot to hit up before heading on vacation. It’s hard to resist the racks of sexy swimwear, sateen separates, and chic cover-ups.
