Rihanna designs her second collection for Emporio Armani
It appears that each singer has a designer inside of them just itching to get out these days, does not it? We’ve drooled more than productive ventures (Victoria Beckham) reserved our opinions more than the not so effectively received (Kanye West) and now we’re bracing ourselves for Rihanna’s second attempt at a creative outlet outside of the pop world. The singer, who previously developed a modestly sized capsule collection for Emporio Armani, is moving onto her second collection with the Italian brand, whom she has modelled for on numerous campaigns. Rihanna’s very first pieces were relatively successful, and it is nice to see that Emporio are sticking by the 24-year-old in her foray into the fashion planet.
In correct Rihanna style, the garments have a grungy influence, with tartan turn ups and distressed denim. The shapes are equivalent to her final collection and should as a result sell just as nicely – the slouchy t-shirts will undoubtedly fly out when they ultimately hit shops. According to Fashionista, underwear will be a comfortable affair made from stretch cotton and ranging from a vest and shorts set to some glittery push-up bras.

Supertrash’s Olcay Gulsen launches website for her own label

Olcay Gulsen is finest-known as the super glamorous face behind the label Supertrash, but she not too long ago branched out into high end style with her personal self-named label.
Compared to Supertrash, Olcay Gulsen is a far far more pared down affair, concentrating on quite easy shapes in fluid fabrics, created for subtle red carpet glamour. It reminds us of early designs from Victoria Beckham – slinky maxi dresses with high necklines and pencil skirts in pale colours.
The line originally launched exclusively via Shopbop.com in the US, but as of nowadays has its own devoted retail site. The collection has currently been a hit in LA, worn by the likes of Sophia Bush and Kristen Cavallari to high profile events.

Alexander McQueen Fall 2012 Shoes
I was really taken by the beauty of McQueen’s blooming fall 2012 collection. As usual, the McQueen shoes came to spice up the fashion game, in no way tamed or discrete.
With shapes reminding me of Nina Ricci’s shoes, or the hoof like, heel – much less footwear that was very trendy not extended back (remember even Victoria Beckham was a fan). The metal edge on the soles or the furry ankles and covers point towards hoofs too. How’s that working with flowers? It’s all about nature, I guess… Horses, flowers… McQueen. Either way, if you want fierce shoes for fall and you are not interested in comfort, attempt McQueen shoes! It’s a house trademark to make a challenge out of each step!

Gemma Cartwright writes…

On Sunday, team Catwalk Queen will be having a tiny Oscars party of our own, livetweeting the red carpet and updating the internet site as soon as the photos come in so you can see the gowns for oneself.
In my function as resident Oscars specialist, I usually predict what I believe folks will wear, and while they usually pull a thing new and thrilling out of the bag to prove me incorrect, it really is still fun to guess.

Michael Kors Fall Winter 2012 2013 had every little thing running: belts, leather, wool, fur, tartan, the proper colors and the excellent cuts that’ll turn this collection into a sellout! Wearable, bourgeois, resort – appropriate and youthful! Victoria Beckham was rightfully wearing tartan the other day – belt your tartan, ladies, and you’re in the hip crowd subsequent fall! Friday Frock: George at Asda ‘do’ Victoria Beckham

No prizes for guessing where George at Asda got their inspiration from with this scalloped shift dress. It has far more than a small in widespread with Victoria Beckham‘s properly-received diffusion collection, Victoria, Victoria Beckham, the cuter, younger collection inspired by Emily The Strange which Michelle Williams has been wearing not too long ago.
But Asda’s spending budget version comes in at a lot less than Victoria’s supposedly ‘cheaper’ line (dresses are still upwards of £375). The black and coral scalloped quantity comes in at a ridiculous £14.
At that cost, you can afford to snap up the beige version too.

Would You Buy Clothing From Geri Halliwell’s Union Flag Collection?
Even though Victoria Beckham has created into a quite select couture circle, her Spice companions weren’t all that (fashion) lucky. We talked about Mel B having modeled for lingerie, now let’s see what our favored redheaded (who’s now a blonde) Ginger Spice is doing!
Geri Halliwell has a sartorial working collaboration with Subsequent, a British retail chain. Included in clothing collection is this Union Jack line. Which you can see beneath. We all keep in mind Geri’s Union Flag 1997 stage outfit which was actually a repurposed tea towel, an iconic “dress” in its personal appropriate. Now you can have all sorts of Union Flag items, just in time for the Olympic Games (and the Diamond Jubilee). And you know what? I think it’ll be a good results! It will not be on fashion magazines covers like Victoria Beckham’s collection, but it still is something!
