Time to Put on your Parka
Written by Sarah Mackenzie

It’s been a while since the Oasis boys were the men about the town. In fact, even Take That have come and gone (yet again!) since the Gallagher boys were in the prime of their day. But despite their absence from the music industry over the past decade, one lasting effect that the boys left on society were their notorious parka jackets- that they were once seen wearing day in, and day out!
And now, Parka jackets are making a comeback, with designers such as Tommy Hilfiger and Yves Saint Laurent putting their take on the Gallagher favourite.
With faux fur trim hoods and draw string attachments, these parka jackets have exploded onto the scene just in time for the cold, wintery days ahead of us. And my gosh are they looking more stylish than ever.
Python Bags make a Harrowing Hiss
Written by Sarah Mackenzie

Reese Witherspoon left fans and animal activists hissing with disgust this week, as she was seen strutting her stuff around Hollywood with a Chloe python skin bag in tow.
But never one to disappoint her followers or want to stir up any unnecessary attention or drama, Reese has already retired the bag to the back of her closet, never to be seen again!
So why such a quickie showcase of the bag? Upon learning of the Oscar winning actress’s latest fashion accessory, PETA were quick to jump on the education bandwagon and personally sent Reese a video about how the bags are made, and the cruel treatment that pythons are subjected to.
Mad Hatters on the loose!
Written by Sarah Mackenzie

With the year 2011 coming to a close soon, one thing that we have noticed looking back at this year’s fashion trends so far, is that 2011 has definitely been the year of the hat.
We all gasped at Princess Beatrice’s daring take on a Royal Wedding headpiece in April, and in September, we swooned over Caroline Charles’s boaters as they made their way down the runway at London Fashion Week. And more recently, we told you about the prestigious Christy’s hats debuting at Liberty’s, with a womanswear line soon to follow.
But no one seems to have gone slightly as mad as a hatter for this trend than Sex and the City alumni herself, Sarah Jessica Parker. Heck, she’s even putting Lady Gaga to shame!

No more X-Factor Slumber Parties
Written by Sarah Mackenzie

If you’ve been reading our latest posts on all the X-Factor contestants, then you’ll definitely know that FFL are huge fans of the show. Each week we can’t wait to see what unique outfit Misha will wear, how many screams from teenage girls Marcus will get, and what kind of crazy performance Kitty will pull off this week!
But now, it seems like we might just be the only ones who are under the X-Factor spell. The ratings for the show have been slipping each week, and a couple of days ago the bosses of the show stepped in for a “crisis talk” and to introduce a dramatic change…….. no pyjamas allowed!
Contestants will no longer be allowed to be seen snoozing around in their bed wear between rehearsals, or strolling around the grounds of their Hertfordshire house in their sweats. Instead, bosses have warned the contestants that they must look, as well as act, like the glamorous starlets that the show is trying to make them into.

Delving into Duffel Bag Delights
Written by Sarah Mackenzie
With the winter holidays only a couple of months away, and the idea of a sun filled vacation or quick weekend getaway on everybody’s mind, the last thing anyone wants to think about is packing!
Having waded through my closet before my last holiday to try and find a bag that’s big enough to fit all my “necessities” in( looking back, i don’t think taking ten pairs of shoes was a particularly good idea!) and then arriving at the airport to find out that my bag’s too big for handluggage, I’ve finally learnt that packing lightly is definitely the way forward.
And with new restrictions on how many bags you can check in and how large they can be, and then the frustration of having to wait an hour at your destination for your bag to make it’s way onto the airport carousel, it’s definitely much better to travel with handluggage only!
So in order to help you out with your packing needs this holiday season, we’ve scoured the shops to find all the best duffel bags- and the best part is, they’re all in keeping with standard handluggage restrictions!
Power to the Pink Breast Cancer Awareness
Written by Sarah Mackenzie
If you feel like you’ve been seeing the colour pink around a lot lately, it’s probably because you have. And no, it’s not because you’ve been noticing everyone’s rosy cheeks and noses in this frosty weather!
On a more serious note, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, which means that during this month, you can lend your support to the cause by purchasing a number of pink products.
A percentage of the money raised from the sales of affiliated products goes directly to the cause, so you don’t have to feel guilty if you’re feeling slightly overindulgent in your pink fix!
Some our favourite products include a Stella and Dot tribute bracelet adorned with pink pave crystals-even Britney Spears and Emma Roberts have been seen sporting them! To get in on this Hollywood trend shop here.
