Eva Mendes to front Angel by Thierry Mugler fragrance campaign
Eva Mendes is set to replace Naomi Watts as the new face of Angel by Thierry Mugler fragrance. The actress has been tapped to appear in advertising for the perfume from September this year.
Known for changing their brand ambassadors every few years, Eva takes over from Naomi who has been attached to the product since 2008. Of course the sexy actress is no stranger to fragrance campaigns, she also starred in Calvin Klein’s Secret Obsession ads three years ago. Her TV commercial was famously banned in the US for being too provocative.
“While Naomi Watts’ ethereal beauty embodied the angelic aspect of the fragrance, Thierry Mugler chose to reignite the enticing and explosive dimensions of the fragrance with the sultry Mendes,” the company stated, adding “though her obviously flawless physical beauty is in perfect harmony with the artist’s aesthetic canon, Ms. Mendes mesmerized Mugler with her independence, determination and humour.”
