• Upon realizing that she was the only Jersey Shore cast member without a line of branded products, Sammi Giancola decided to launch a fragrance. The scent, called Dangerous Perfume, will hit shelves this spring, and will most likely smell like a mix of jello shots and tanning oil. [Racked]

Cats Fashion Show. Good Or Bad?
And here I was worrying about children beauty pageants! Or skinny jeans for toddlers! (to be perfectly honest I sometimes look at my baby girl – she’s in her mid twos right now – and think she’s swimming in her normal fit jeans. And that’s not because she would be too slim or something, still, skinny jeans for kids won’t cut it for this stubborn pair of parents!) Now have you heard about pets beauty pageants? I’m sure you did. But have you actually witnessed one?
I didn’t. Thank heavens! I would’ve cried my eyes out halfway through. Or fainted as a direct result of all that hysterical laughter. Because, if you’ll hit the jump and see the rest of the images, you’ll understand that a Cats Fashion Show is something you shouldn’t take lightheartedly. Oh, no! It’s serioooous!

Little Miss America Collection On Its Way
I have this odd nightmare with toddlers and tiaras haunting me every now and then. I even wrote about it once, hoping coming clean with having such bad dreams will help me heal. Nope. Not a chance.
Now I see my nightmare expanding into a clothing line. The Miss America pageant through Miss America Brands shows us how busy they’ve been with a fashion collection for the little ones. French terry hoodies, purses, polo dresses, ballet slippers and so much more for the 4 to 7 with prices under $25. Because “it’s providing inspiration for little girls” (said Katie Stam, Miss America 2009, spokesperson for the collection). I guess I should put things into a completely different perspective and look at beauty pageants and its participants (regardless of age et caetera) as I would any other profession. Is it really wrong if I can’t? (via)

I’m bringing this to you both as a style’n’fashion amateur and a mother. I’ll avoid spending an important amount of time and words on the subject because it’s so controversial and double edged I’d have to hire a lawyer before anything.
