Kristen Stewart earns her best dressed crown
I did warn you that there would be an influx in K-Stew activity! I am sorry, but can you blame me? Appear at her! She looks wonderful! And she’s not wearing black shoes! And she’s SMILING! But seriously, has the lovely Kristen Stewart hired a new stylist for her Snow White and the Huntsman promo tour? Since I’ve by no means observed her look so great, and if she continues down this route, then I might even have to agree with Glamour magazine naming her the best dressed female of 2012.
This 1st photo was taken over the surprisingly sunny weekend at a press conference at Arundel Castle here in England, and it looks as even though Kristen was as delighted with the weather (and the dress) as I was! The 22-year-old opted for a colour popping number from Preen’s Pre-Fall 2012 collection, in which design duo Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi took inspiration from objects about their properties, like teacups and motorcycles. You can virtually see the blue floral lace overlay on a piece of china can’t you? I’m pleasantly surprised at how significantly the bright orange components in the dress suit Kristen’s skin tone, and I absolutely enjoy the royal blue Casadei blade heels – they look so good on K-Stew’s super long legs. In my opinion, the dress looks a lot much better worn without having tights, and fortunately for us, Kristen prefers to show off her pins anyway.

Looks on Campus: Monica – Oregon State University
I spotted Monica walking through our massive lecture hall during a break in class and her special maxi skirt quickly caught my eye. Spring has lastly sprung in Oregon and Monica was wearing an outfit to match.

American Express Makes a Day with Marchesa
![]()

If you are not featured in print or the web, gaining access to you preferred designer is nearly impossible. But American Express is helping fashion savvy Platinum cardmembers obtain their dreams through their Premium Access program’s By Invitation Only events. The credit card organization recently teamed up with Marchesa to hold a private style show for the brand’s Spring 2013 Bridal collection.
Insiders were in a position to step backstage as the models finished their fittings and shot the lookbook before sitting front row for the show where Marchesa’s wedding day confections had been a correct delight. The design duo’s signature use of silk tulle and lace transformed classic silhouettes into dreamy decadence. Standouts included a full-skirted tulle ball gown and a bateau neck lengthy sleeve lace gown and complete skirt for a lot more classic bridal elegance, plus a crepe satin column gown with an embroidered illusion bodice and a lace dress with a cascade skirt for exquisite alternatives.
Afterwards, cardmembers were able to meet Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig and verify out some of the label’s iconic gowns worn by Sandra Bullock, Halle Berry, and Anne Hathaway on display. These who were in a buying mood were invited to a private shopping encounter with some of the styles from the existing collection as properly as the Lenox Tabletop line. Guests received hair and makeup consultations and even mingled with Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover model and Dancing with the Stars vet, Petra Nemcova.
Much more style forward events will be offered all through the year, exclusively for American Express Cardmembers at AmericanExpress.com/Entertainment.

The Academy Awards 2012 – We make our Oscars fashion predictions
Gemma Cartwright writes…
Sunday night is the 84th Academy Awards, and stars will be pulling out all the stops for their Oscars red carpet moment. The night never ever fails to bring us a handful of fashion surprises, but a single thing we can guarantee is that you will have an amazing night if you enjoy glamorous gowns!
On Sunday, team Catwalk Queen will be having a tiny Oscars party of our own, livetweeting the red carpet and updating the internet site as soon as the photos come in so you can see the gowns for oneself.
In my function as resident Oscars specialist, I usually predict what I believe folks will wear, and while they usually pull a thing new and thrilling out of the bag to prove me incorrect, it really is still fun to guess.

Marchesa Fall 2012: Coming to a Red Carpet (and Taylor Momsen Video) Near You
It does not get much more glamorous than Marchesa‘s Fall 2012 show.
Set at the Plaza Hotel, guests initial had to make their way by means of the clump of paparazzi waiting on the red carpet for a peek at Taylor Momsen, Stacy Keibler and Olivia Palermo. It felt a lot more like an A-list awards show than a fashion show–which makes sense considering that we’re betting a lot more than a handful of of Marchesa’s gorgeous and dramatic gowns will make their way onto the red carpet soon–like Oscar’s soon.
When every person was seated in the gold dinner chairs in one of the Plaza’s most luxurious event spaces, the show began. Models entered through a gold-and-mirrored doorway, helped down the tiny set of steps by a pair of dapper gentlemen, like debutantes from a bygone era.
The line sheet mentioned the designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig were inspired by William-Adolphe Bouguereau’s famed 1878 portrait, “A Soul Brought to Heaven.” And as the New York Instances‘ Eric Wilson pointed out, there was some Alexander McQueen in there, too. In any case, there were numerous Baroque elements in the collection, and although the hand embroidered lace bodices, as nicely as the gold brocade sculptural frocks did remind us of McQueen’s Fall 2010 collection, they also seemed like a natural development for the brand’s aesthetic.

The A – Z of Award Show Fashion – red carpet style rundown
As we approach the middle of the madness that is awards season, we take a look at what we think makes up the A – Z of red carpet style at these big star-studded events (yes, we even found a Q and an X)…
A is for Academy Awards

The Academy Awards is undoubtedtly the biggest awards show on the red carpet calendar and thus the most glamorous. Film stars from across the globe flock to Hollywood’s Kodak Theatre to celebrate the year’s best performances, dressed in their very best couture. Designers clamour to dress nominees and presenters, as the publicity is worth millions.
