We girls live in a globe exactly where pressures to fit a particular mold of beauty weigh us down on a day-to-day basis. Although makeup and fashion are enjoyable to play around with, we don’t blame you if bombardments of image-centered advertisements and celeb-drenched shows leave you asking, “Why can’t I appear like that?” when in a whilst.
Trust us – we’ve all been there in one particular way or an additional. But at the finish of the day, it’s critical not to shed sight of loving and appreciating your individual beauty. We currently know there are cat fashion bloggers so it follows of course that there would also be cat fashion designers.
A couple of days ago, a friend of mine (who certainly knows me genuinely nicely) linked me to an Etsy shop known as CatAtelier, which, naturally, sells a delightful assortment of very carefully crafted ties, neckpieces and hats for felines. Both the quality of these designs and the reality that this existed totally blew my thoughts and I had to know far more. So, I reached out to the obviously talented designer for an interview and she obliged. It turns out Julie Song went to Parsons and has a BFA in illustration as nicely as a quite obedient cat. Fashionista: What is your fashion/design background?
Julie Song: I went to Parsons School of Design, and I have my BFA in Illustration. I was initially organizing to be a children’s book illustrator, but I changed my mind right after senior year. I have been sewing because I was young, but it took a while to understand that I preferred operating with clothing and costume.
CQ First: Hailee Steinfeld for Miu Miu A/W 2011 campaign
Right here it is people, the very first search at Hailee Steinfeld’s ad campaign for Miu Miu. At just 14, the Genuine Grit actress was chosen to represent the label’s Autumn/Winter 2011 collection, joining the likes of Katie Holmes, Evan Rachel Wood and Lindsay Lohan. The campaign also heralds a new era for Miu Miu, who have previously entrusted Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott to shoot their advertisements. Now right after nine seasons, they have offered the job to Bruce Weber who seems to have photographed Hailee in a rural setting alongside train tracks.
Hailee’s relationship with Miucca Prada initial began when she wore a Prada gown to the SAG Awards. She then went on to attend the Miu Miu display in March as a specific guest. According to her stylist Karla Welch: “Miu Miu is such a ideal match for her. All through awards season, they have been the dresses she needed to put on.”
