Granted, we saw a few different variations of the beret on the Fall 2011 runways—worn traditionally at Sophie Theallet, worn on the forehead at Vena Cava, worn with a chinstrap at Marc Jacobs—but we didn’t expect the trend to spread through Hollywood like wildfire.
We love it when we’re pleasantly surprised.

Kendall Jenner is no stranger to the lime light. With half sisters- Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian, and a starring role in the E! reality TV show “Keeping up with the Kardashians,” Kendall is certainly making a name for herself!
In recent months we ‘ve seen her and her thirteen year old younger sister, Kylie, pose for famed prom dress designer Sherri Hill, where they looked every part like glamorous teen princesses.

A Baby Kardashian’s Walking Avril’s Runway Show

In today’s Kardashian news, Kylie Jenner—one of Kourtney, Kim and Khloe’s younger step-sisters—will walk a New York Fashion Week Runway this week. Which one? Avril Lavigne’s. Avril dates Brody Jenner, who’s also half-sibling to all the Ks, which means if they get married Avril will be a Kardashian-in-law so her sort of sisters are offering their fashion week support.
The show is next week at the Metropolitan Pavillion in New York and despite Kylie’s age, she’s only 14, she’ll take three turns on the catwalk. Fashionista asked the CFDA’s Steven Kolb what he thinks about this, especially given last week’s decree in which designers were asked to check models’ IDs at castings. Kolb said, “The CFDA Health Initiative guidelines are suggested recommendations put forth for the industry. The latest version has been distributed widely. We are not in a position to police or enforce these recommendations. We can only hope that they are followed and taken seriously and are happy that so many in our industry are acting responsible.” As a side note, WWD also mentions that Kim and Kourtney might sit front row on Monday.
Meanwhile, before celebrating their Sears collection at Annie Leibovtiz’s studio last night, Kourtney, Kim and Khloe stopped by David Letterman to talk about basketball and butt x-rays. Gawker brilliantly assembled the best bits, which you can watch here.
The Kardashian Sisters Are Kompletely Ko-ordinated

To celebrate the launch of their Kardashian Kollection at Sears, Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian held a party last night which, of course, their complete household attended. As usual, the sisters produced sure their oufits matched just so. From left to right, there is Khloe in a strapless leopard-print mini dress and a cropped back jacket, Kourtney in a twee beige lacy dress with a huge silky bow, and Kim in a jumpsuit that’s also leopard-print. All three wore variations of massive earrings and black heels, and carried black klutches clutches. (Ugh, we just kan’t make it quit.)
Is Kendall Jenner the next Kardashian clan powerhouse?
Yes, most likely she is. Kendall, younger sis of Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, is only 15. But in the last week alone:
–News broke (thanks to a tweet from Kim) that Kendall is modeling for Australian swimwear company Leah Madden.
–She and sister Kylie Jenner both looked elegant as they towered over Kim at Sunday’s Teen Choice Awards. (Their height may have something to do with Dad Bruce Jenner.)

Celebrities turn out for lia sophia jewelry
Lia sophia, the direct-sales jewelry brand that has a strong celebrity following, held an intimate event Tuesday night in the back courtyard of the Sunset Marquis Hotel in West Hollywood. The brand throws a party in L.A each summer, normally at an impressive beach house in Malibu, in order to present its most recent Red Carpet collection of costume statement pieces and to get the items into the hands of extremely visible celeb fans such as Paris Hilton, Ashlee Simpson, Kourtney Kardashian and Ali Landry, all of whom showed up Tuesday and left with considerably much more bling.
And who can blame them? The Industrielle II Red Carpet collection is full of chunky jeweled cocktail rings, Art Deco-inspired collar necklaces and significant-but-surprisingly-light angular-shaped earrings that immediately dress up basics and show up like actual sparklers in paparazzi and red-carpet pics.
“The collection is constantly inspired by vintage, like stuff you’d uncover in your grandmother’s closet, mixed with trends,” said Dani Stahl, editor at big for Nylon magazine and the designer of lia sophia’s Red Carpet line. “Color is actually essential, which you can see in the ID bracelets. They’re a pop of preppy color for summer.”
