Digital prints have been a hot fashion trend for a few seasons now, and we’ve recently noticed them popping up with increased frequency in all of our favorite stores.
In case you didn’t know, digital prints are dramatic motifs (often from photographs) made on a computer for a specific garment. For fashion designers, a big advantage of digital prints is that they provide a uniform look across garments of all sizes. Whereas most clothes are cut from the same pre-printed textiles, which can lead to imperfections and variations in the finished pieces, digital prints can be scaled to fit a garment precisely, meaning each piece always looks exactly as the designer intended.
Kim Kardashian’s holidays are sure to be superb. As of May 2012, she was reported to have racked in $ 18 million, she’s happily dating her latest beau, Kanye West, and she’s a new auntie to baby Penelope Disick. Needless to say, Kim K has much to celebrate this season. With our choice gifts, she’ll have even more reason to smile. These last months have been all about fitted silhouettes, leather, fur and animal print for the glam diva, some speculate as a result of Kanye’s fashion eye and style influence. Speaking of Mr. West, as a Chicago native, having his boo don that Bulls jersey is sure to make a clear “out with the old, in with the new” statement to ring in the new year with (cough ex Kris Humphries cough Brooklyn Nets). And now that she’s a rap guy’s girlfriend (or something), Kim’s sure to find the “Understand Rap” book more than helpful. If not, Bruce can definitely borrow it.

The Kardashian sisters are in London this week for the launch of the Kardashian Kollection line, which went on sale this morning at Dorothy Perkins stores and Dorothy Perkins online. The range has been sold in the USA at Sears for some time, but this is the first time it’s been made available in Europe.
I popped down to my local Dotty P’s this morning to check out the
c kollection, which is mainly a mix of bodycon dresses, blazers, pencil skirts and sheer blouses and tops. It’s all pretty mainstream stuff; these girls know their market and have played it safe with curve-hugging party dresses, sexy separates and a dash of leopard print, leather and sparkle.

Over a decadent dinner of buratta, steak, and performances by Smoky Robinson, Nelly, and Natalie Cole, guests including Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Gerard Butler, Bar Refaeli, Estelle, Irina Shayk, Jessica Stam, and Ashanti mixed and mingled with the philanthropic set in New York. “I’ve lost both grandfathers and my sister to cancer,” said Nelly. “We know how urgent and sensitive this matter is. Anytime you get a chance to come out, raise awareness and have fun while you’re doing it, you really have no excuse.”

There’s no reason that your September 6 agenda should be empty. You can get signed by Dwayne Wade at Calvin Klein, strike a pose for Arthur Elgort at Dior, and then dance the night away with Solange Knowles at DVF. Get out and get glam! [VOGUE]
