The Queen of Disco died these days – Could 17, 2012 – so I decided to republish this fun “get the appear” post I did a handful of years back that I’m sure she would have liked! Her fashionable excellent looks and incredible pipes resulted in nineteen #1 dance hits – second only to Madonna. “Poor Girls”, “Live and More” and “On the Radio” burned up the charts, making her the only artist to have 3 consecutive double-LPs hit No. 1. She was also the first female artist with four No. 1 singles in a 13-month period according to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, where she was a nominee this year.
The original diva of attractive disco is releasing a new album, Crayons, and is celebrating in true Donna Summer time style with a chi chi launch party at Mansion New York. We like to celebrate with, what else, fashion…so why not channel her iconic floral frock look? To preserve from searching like a museum piece, skip the satiny mules in favor of some thing like python snakeskin – the present need to-have neutral – and add a sexy pendant necklace, statement ring, and a clutch.

Kelly Brooks Cannes Festival wardrobe
Kelly Brook gave her fans a sneak peek into her designer wardrobe yesterday as she decided on outfits to take to the 65th Cannes Film Festival. The 32-year-old underwear model/actress (who at the moment stars in comedy horror, Pirahanna 3D) tweeted a number of pictures during a fitting with her stylist, and following attempting on nine diverse looks, announced “As well many alternatives…taking it all.” As nicely as revealing what she would be taking with her to the infamous festival, Kelly also shared a photo of her packing on instagram, featuring some enviable Louis Vuitton luggage, a gorgeous red trunk bursting with items, and a pair of red Roger Vivier heels. So, let’s take a look shall we?
Initial up, a couple of floral pieces, which make for appropriate daytime looks, and a basic black and sheer dress with pearls. Whilst I’m not a big fan of the jumpsuit, I adore the two dresses – the on-trend 50′s style tropical print dress is known as ‘Victorine’ comes from Dannii Minogue’s Project D collection, and it looks definitely beautiful on Kelly. I want these gorgeous pink patent shoes as well! The underwear model (and her stylist) certainly knows how to dress Kelly’s curves, and the black pleated dress with sheer panelling sits perfectly on her. The only items I’m not overly fond of are the clutch bags – none of them stand out for me.
Subsequent on Kelly’s list, dresses which I’m presuming we’ll see either on the red carpet or at a dinner or two. All of these gowns suit Kelly’s figure and skin tone, but I am nonetheless not feeling the accessories. I’ll be interested to see what shoes the model pairs with the shimmering green bandeau dress – she naturally found it tough to make a decision! My favourite heels are the gold strappy pair that Kelly tried with the mustard coloured dress, and in my opinion, they’d look fantastic worn with all three of these outfits. What do you believe?
