Despite the fact that she’s opened for Snoop Dogg and Ludacris, performed on late night Television, and released a handful of mixtapes and EPs, absolutely nothing gets San Francisco-based rapper K.Flay excited like a pair of Nike high-tops. Even though touring this spring, the Stanford graduate (true name: Kristine Flaherty) made added space in her suitcase to bring along some kicks. The 1 downside? It limits what else she can pack. “I recycle outfits like crazy, since I don’t have that numerous clothes—I’m a clothing-on-repeat type of girl,” she admits.

Getting currently announced dates at some of the greatest summer time music festivals (feel Bonnaroo and the Governor’s Ball), K.Flay gave ELLE.com a sneak peek at what to count on the subsequent time she hits the road, with a snapshot from her most recent tour.

At last night’s premiere of Darling Companion, everyone within a few hundred feet was craning their neck for a glimpse of its star. When Diane Keaton did arrive, dressed in a monochromatic look comprised of a cream turtleneck, blazer and slacks, one onlooker couldn’t control herself: “She looks fantastic!” Eventually, the crowd started chanting “Annie Hall,” like screaming for “Free Bird” at a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert.

The reason, we’re guessing, is that Darling’s release (today) also marks the 35th anniversary of Annie Hall’s theatrical release in 1977. It’s almost impossible for anyone to miss that Keaton is still very much Annie Hall, thirty-five years later, and the character’s influence hasn’t faded. Actress Elizabeth Olsen told ELLE, “I use to be strictly Annie Hall in high school. I would wear the hat and suspenders and all the button up shirts and masculine pants… I really love that film, and Diane Keaton.”

Keaton’s magnetism remains intact and the brief answers she offers the press do little to quell the public’s interest. How was the chemistry between you and your onscreen husband Kevin Klein? “Can you imagine? Look at him.” What’s your favorite scene in Companion? “My favorite scene? Well, I can’t tell you the end. No. No. No.” Do you still dress like Annie? “Not so much in this one.”

1. The Sweater

For some reason I hate the word “sweater”, so I was pretty shocked when I found the inspiration to include them into this article. I don’t know what it is, maybe the fact it reminds me of that awful school uniform I once had to wear on a daily occasion (that yellow sweater has scarred me for life). Or maybe it’s a result of being forced to wear that awful purple knitted sort from Grandma every time I felt a chill. Or even that it was the nasty headmasters trademark garment? Whatever it is I find myself currently staring at a wardrobe filled with them. My now ex headmaster would be proud of my current collection.

Calvin Klein’s Ck One Shock fragrances have arrived on store shelves—and now, the racy ad campaign starring fashion’s cool kids is hitting magazines and TV screens. Yesterday, we sat down with several members of the tight-knit cast (they all worked together on the revamped Ck One campaign earlier this year) to get the behind-the-scenes scoop. Below, we chat with Rob Evans, Sky Ferreira, and Ian Mellencamp about their steamy Steven Meisel photos after the jump!

What was the mood like at the shoot? It looks like it was pretty hot!
Rob Evans: They instructed me and Lara Stone to go into this room and make out—and I took full advantage of that! But then they told everyone to go into the room and make out. So I’d be kissing Lara and Ruby Aldridge would be kissing my neck and I just thought, this is not going to make the cut!
Sky Ferreira: I had to do some girl-on-girl. I made out with Lara too! I thought they would’ve chosen a way hotter girl than me for that. Like one of the real models. I came up to her chest, so they told us to sit down and kiss. I just let her take the lead because I didn’t want to offend her in any way. There was no tongue or anything, so it wasn’t too racy. It was sweet and innocent. Well, kind of!

Did you get to pick who you were paired up with?
Ian Mellencamp: No, it was like speed dating! I was put with Ruby. It was my first time making out with someone on camera, but the atmosphere helped make it less awkward.
RE: Yeah, it also wasn’t as awkward because we already knew everyone from the Ck One shoot that we did before. Everyone was a bit more comfortable this time.

Unfortunately I will not be rousing your zest for fashion forward ideas with something original or innovative, but going back to basics can be the fulcrum for something inspirational, even when least expected. The motives for this article lay in the conundrum of looking just as good at school or work, as you do on the weekend. Some of the working people reading will not have such a dress code, but that does not mean they are any less restricted in their attire than the rest of us.

The suit, as much a dress-code as a sophisticated gentleman’s choice of attire, had origins in battle, which ties in perfectly with today’s military trend, before the lounge suit was at the heart of a fashion revolution in the 1800s. In this article, I will be writing about the origins of the lounge suit, and how best to wear attire that speaks volumes of the man donning it, before a word is spoken.
