I’m pleased to say that I am writing this evaluation from California… lastly! The road trip was wonderful, and an expertise I will by no means forget. If you have not taken a road trip, you should do so soon, due to the fact it is a lot of enjoyable. It does not have to be as intense as mine, even a brief 1 can be the best component of your summer. Speaking of summer…. can it remain summer forever? In fact, I am pretty excited for the fall/winter trends coming up, so I guess I will be fine when summer comes an end.

I have to say… Raleigh Denim created it very simple to fall in adore with these jeans. I strongly recommend you go check out anything by Raleigh Denim the second you finish reading this evaluation. Finally a denim organization that is all about a fantastic pair of nicely-crafted jeans. You won’t see any embroidery or anything tacky on these jeans, and I really like it. And one more amazing thing is they only make a limited amount of every single jean, I tried on pair 51 out of 170. I need to most likely tell you that I am reviewing the Nash-Rinse Straight Fit prior to I get carried away talking about how awesome this brand is. If you have read any of my reviews ahead of, you know I’m all about skinny jeans, and slim straights (sometimes) so I was type of bummed out when I saw that this pair of jeans had been straight leg. Of course I got over it since I was so excited to finally attempt on a pair of jeans by Raleigh Denim. Even though straight leg jeans are not my thing, I love them for a lot of reasons. The fit about my waist is remarkable, I normally wear a 29 waist but these were a 30. Generally if you are finding a rigid pair of jeans, you size up one due to the fact they run small. This definitely was the most rigid pair of jeans I have ever tried on, and they are begging for you to wear them everyday and make them yours. They are created of selvedge denim, and it is of great good quality.

Dark denim is so easy to match with anything, and if you ever hang out with me, you’ll know, dark jeans are my “go to” jeans. Well it’s summer time, so what greater to wear than a gingham shirt. This appear is effortlessly simple and can be transitioned from day to night. Although the jeans were a small bit looser than what I generally wear, I think they worked fairly amazing with a pair of my aged black boots.

I was crazy lucky to snap these photos on time because Adelaide weather just got some insane rain that apparently won’t be stopping for over a week. Sob. I only like rain when I’m sleeping.

Today’s review is for the most comfortable jeans I have ever tried – The Sass & Bide Impressionist Jean. I think as soon as you look at them you know they are going to be comfortable and become your new favourite pair of jeans. This is basically what I thought as soon as I took them out of their packaging.

They are a super skinny, super stretchy fit with two back pockets. The front doesn’t feature any pockets, zips or buttons. They have elastic around the waistband, which means you can eat all you want for lunch and you won’t have the need to unbutton your jeans.

Here’s a sneak peak at the upcoming Fall 2011 ad campaign from Guess shot by Ellen von Unwerth and featuring Amber Heard chanelling Marilyn Monroe as she plays the brand’s iconic blonde bombshell role. Following in the footsteps of Claudia Schiffer and Anna Nicole Smith, Amber was quoted as saying “the jeans fit me perfectly” – which is just as well I guess, otherwise the ads wouldn’t have been up to much.

Carine Roitfeld on Anna Wintour, Drugs, Boring Fashion Shows, and Her Upcoming Book with Karl Lagerfeld

104f767d89d798c5 image 200292 galleryV9 hymk.xlarge Carine Roitfeld on Anna Wintour, Drugs, Boring Fashion Shows, and Her Upcoming Book with Karl Lagerfeld>> Carine Roitfeld is enjoying her new status as a free agent. While meeting with an interviewer from Spiegel, for instance, she was told that she looked “remarkably normal” (She showed up in a “no-name” T-shirt from Los Angeles, Current/Elliott corduroy jeans, and satin shoes that she had custom-made in violet.). Roitfeld’s reply? “That’s part of my newfound freedom. I always wore a tight skirt at Vogue; it was like a uniform.” And the former editor already has plenty of new projects in the works — the Fall 2011 Chanel campaign, consulting work for Barneys, her biographical retrospective book with Olivier Zahm that comes out in October — plus, she mentions that she’s working on “a book with Karl Lagerfeld,” and adds, “Who knows? Perhaps I’ll become a muse for designers again.”

Needless to say, there’s been no second-guessing her decision to leave Vogue Paris: ”[It was] the perfect moment. The French edition of Vogue had never been more successful, had never had more readers or advertisers. And it had never made as much money. For 10 years, my American publisher, Jonathan Newhouse, let me do what I wanted, even when he thought it might be crazy. But it couldn’t have gone on for much longer.”

A few more highlights from the interview, below.
