If there’s one thing we love here at Grazia Daily, it’s watching a style icon in the making. And the latest lady to catch our eye is Sunday Girl, aka Jade Williams, who became a permanent fixture at this month’s London Fashion Week. Matthew Williamson, Topshop Unique, Burberry and Mulberry; Jade bagged FROW tickets to them all. As we watched her from across the catwalk — in a non-stalkerish way, honest — we couldn’t ignore her boy-meets-girl wardrobe, polished off with lashings of ombre hair. So with SG’s latest collection for Firetrap landing this month, we were first in line to bag a piece of her sartorial spark.

The limited edition range is available now from www.firetrap.com and includes 16 staples, from leather jackets and jersey pieces to edgy accessories that are gorgeous enough to wear ANY day of the week (chortle). We’re already excited to give our new printed shirt an outing at the collection’s launch party later this month — scroll down to WIN FbySG pieces for yourself and tickets to join us at the swanky do, BTW. In the meantime, Grazia Daily has taken the opportunity to grill Ms Williams on her obsession with insects, mannish accents and Karl Lagerfeld’s twee gloves…

With X Factor starting up on our screens again, came the painful reminder for some of us (ok, me) of a love long lost…Rihanna, who stole last year’s show and our hearts in the process. Ever since then though, we’ve been on a downhill spiral with this lady and her raunchy [read samey] style- but lets not start that again.

But then lo and behold, up she pops with new hair- curly and quiff, back in a warm brown- and an Antonio Berardi blue feather number which completely goes against the PVC grain. Oh Ri Ri, you have got it!

Also loving soft and cuddly clothes this weekend was Eliza Doolittle at V Festival, who added a boa to her stage routine.

eliza dolittle1 Question time: Do you DIY?

At the Fashion For Lunch offices this week we have been discussing Doing It Yourself. Not actually fixing points that are broken (I wouldn’t know what to do with a tool kit), but the friendlier face of make-do and mend: attempting to make your own clothes and accessories.

I say trying since for me, this has by no means been a achievement. When I wander round vintage fairs and see homemade accessories, I always get conned into thinking it looks so straightforward- even I could make funky jewellery like the pieces that Eliza Doolittle sports, correct?

I as soon as went so far as to really attempt it. I bought some bric a brac (okay a toy goldfish) from a toy store and went about threading it onto a necklace. As soon as finished it, and I, looked completely deranged- by no means make jewellery that provides the impression that you really should have been locked up a long time ago!

Pixie Lott signs to Select Model Agency

2010 Brit Awards Pixie Lott thumb 220x348 91175 Pixie Lott signs to Select Model AgencyIs Pixie Lott swapping the stage for the runway? That is what numerous of her fans are questioning soon after the songstress lately signed on with Select Model Agency.

Of course it will not be Lott’s very first foray into fashion, she has been working with Lipsy to develop her own line of party dresses for the label. The Bromley-born star has compared that experience of designing clothes as completing an “apprenticeship.”

“I was asked to design a range for Lipsy, which was a fantastic way to experiment a lot more, and now I’ve got the opportunity to immerse myself in fashion at an additional level which is actually exciting,” she said. “Getting with Choose is like acquiring my initial actual fashion job following an apprenticeship!”
