Since it’s Pantone’s color of the year and the fact that St. Patrick’s Day is coming up, we figured that this month was the perfect time to feature the über-trendy emerald green in one of our Color Combo posts. Many people are wary about wearing green with blue, but we love the pairing emerald with a cool cobalt blue for a bold and fashion-forward look.

Want to stand out in a sea of neutrals this season? Don’t be afraid to rock bold colors during the colder months of the year! Even though the Primetime Emmy Awards were held last week, we’re still thinking about all the stylish looks we saw on the red carpet.
More specifically, we’ve been drooling over the three major trends that emerged on the Emmys red carpet: oxblood, textured florals, and bright yellow. All three were popular choices at this year’s ceremony and while we might not be attending a red carpet event anytime soon (darn!), these trends can still be incorporated into the average college student’s wardrobe.

Green and pink are two of the season’s hottest colors and for this post, we decided to combine them to create a unique color combination that’s perfect for fall. Olive green is popular right now thanks in part to the military-inspired trend and it looks spectacular when paired with a soft coral pink. Coral really helps to make an otherwise drab olive pop for a modern, fashion-forward look.
Looks on Campus: Ashley – University of California, Irvine
While taking a summer class at a community college in Irvine, California, I always encounter students from the neighboring university, UC Irvine. Before one of my night classes, I trekked over to UCI to scour the campus for fashionable people. Among the few students left on campus for summer sessions, Ashley instantly caught my eye with her brightly-colored summer outfit.
