Happy Birthday Kate Middleton! We Remember a Year in the Duchess’ Style
As the Duchess of Cambridge, aka Kate Middleton celebrates her thirtieth birthday, we take a look at her sartorial highlights from the past year…

Kate Middleton in Alexander McQueen by Sarah Burton
From the moment the Royal Engagement was announced in that blue Issa dress, the British Public (all at Grazia HQ included) have been fascinated by Kate Middleton and her loyalty to the British high street. She’s shifted much more dresses this year than all the other A-listers put together – in fact, we bet far more females will be wearing the Zara lace print dress that Kate wore to a charity concert earlier this month (which sold out in hours!) this NYE than any other designer!

Identified! Kate Middleton’s £1900 Kiki McDonough Christmas earrings

The Duchess of Cambridge with her new Kiki McDonough earrings
Properly it was Christmas Day, so no doubt the Duchess of Cambridge thought she should add a little sparkle to her aubergine coloured tailored coat and Jane Corbett hat. That touch came from her new green amethyst drop earrings by designer Kiki McDonough. (Thanks to My Little Obsessions for the investigative work).
Kate’s earrings clearly match the £1900 Kiki McDonough 18ct gold and diamond earrings show in citrine on the designer’s website – but which Kate had clearly had customised with amethyst. Unsurprisingly, the earrings are already sold out – a sign that Kate continues to prove a fashion force, no matter whether she’s wearing high finish or high street.

Kate Middleton Confirms She’ll Wear FIVE Outfits in One Day For Sandringham Christmas!

Flick back in your Grazia archive and you’ll keep in mind earlier this month, we featured an exclusive appear at Kate Middleton’s Christmas wardrobe. For the 1st time, the Duchess of Cambridge is spending the festive period with the royal family at Sandringham, and we could only picture the pressure she’s under to pick the right outfits.
As we exclusively reported at the time, guests at Sandringham adjust outfits five – yes, Five! – times on Christmas day. ‘Kate will require a casual outfit for breakfast, a intelligent outfit – and a hat – for the morning church service, a dress for lunch, a cocktail dress for early evening drinks and a full-length dress for the evening meal,’ royal etiquette professional Jean Broke-Smith told us. ‘The golden rule is absolutely nothing too brief, too revealing or too gaudy.’
And right now, we have confirmation from the Duchess herself *smug face* Yes, The Sun is reporting that Kate confided in a fellow guest at A Night of Heroes on Monday night, when she wore that elegant velvet gown by Alexander McQueen, saying that she would not be in a position to repeat an outfit. ‘She said she was searching forward to Christmas with Prince William’s household, and mentioned she had to change dress 5 occasions on Christmas Day. I couldn’t think it,’ Sheridan Bowler tells the newspaper.

Duchess of Cambridge Wears Olive Green Ralph Lauren to Centrepoint Homeless Shelter

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge paid a visit to a homeless shelter in Centrepoint’s Camberwell Foyer centre in Camberwell, south east London. As part of the Duke introducing his new bride to charities he values dearly, the visit to the shelter that helps homeless youths is one he hopes Kate will value with him. William used to visit the shelters with his mom, the late Princess Diana when he was a youth. Catherine showed off her svelte figure in an olive green Wool And Cashmere Roll Neck Dress from the Ralph Lauren Blue Label collection.

Cinching the waist of the sweater dress was a black suede belt. For the record, this outfit does not show a single blemish on Kate’s body. She doesn’t look pregnant as so many tabloids are reporting. I mean look at the body on her. She’s wearing the black Stuart Weitzman Zipkin boots worn in Copenhagen last month.
Top 10 fashion trends of 2011
In 2011, fashion was much more accessible than ever prior to. The world’s newest fashion icon and royal, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, was photographed shopping at affordable chain stores. Designers talked directly to fans on TV and Twitter, and sold cheap chic collections on EBay, at H&M, Target and Macy’s. There was so significantly information and so a lot of opinions out there about fashion, that at occasions, it was difficult to find any consensus, significantly less a trend. But here are my picks:
1) Hot hues. Bright color is a trend that we saw simultaneously on the red carpet (Emma Stone, best left, in that pink-and-red Giambattista Valli dress at the “Friends With Benefits” premiere) on the runways (at Jil Sander, 3.1 Philip Lim, Prabal Gurung, Roksanda Ilincic) and on the streets, or rather, the fields at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival, where neon reigned supreme. And it is only going to get stronger for spring 2012.
two) Dip-dyed hair. Kate Bosworth, Katy Perry and Lauren Conrad are just a few of the celebs who sported rainbow-colored suggestions this year. But I knew it was officially a trend when the 10-year-old boy sitting next to me at Sally Hershberger was getting a (extremely costly) blue streak put in his tresses. Only in L.A.

Kate Middleton Wears Olive Green Jersey Dress by Ralph Lauren at Centrepoint: FIRST LOOK
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William have just arrived at the headquarters of homeless charity Centrepoint in Camberwell, London. So what is Kate wearing? Here’s what:

Ooh, a image of casual chic, no? The Duchess is wearing a jersey dress by Ralph Lauren in a Christmas-y olive green tone. She’s clinched the dress with a thick belt, added a pair of black tights (it really is chilly in London tonight) and her favourite boots. And, of course, Kate’s hair is searching generally glossy, worn loose and bouncy.
