The Mondrian South Beach Gets Very Sexy

Earlier today, Victoria’s Secret Angels Erin Heatherton, Adriana Lima, and Candice Swanepoel took turns posing for cameras at Miami’s Mondrian South Beach hotel. While Lima was unflinching in her “Blue Steel” expression, however, Heatherton and Swanepoel couldn’t stop smiling about the brand’s revamped Very Sexy bra and new Very Sexy Touch fragrance.
After showing off their latest lingerie and perfume, the models spent nearly three hours taking photos with hotel guests and fans. Sad you missed out on the fun? If you didn’t catch the glitter-filled extravaganza that was the 2011 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, don’t worry – you can still get your fix of skyscraper legs and energetic winks via the web.
A Victoria’s Secret runway show is not a normal runway show. Its producers don’t want viewers to be thinking along the practical lines of which bra they might pick up next time they’re in store. Instead they want viewers to be thinking one thing: “wow”. Victoria’s Secret sell lingerie; the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show sells dreams.
So it is that, if you try and pay attention to the actual lingerie, you may occasionally find that the TV-aired version of the show has it censored. The glitter, the celebrity, the dreams however – those are on full display.
Secrets of the Victoria’s Secret Angels
Sure they’re some of the most beautiful women in the world, but getting runway ready still takes some effort. Before taking to the catwalk in revealing lingerie, the Victoria’s Secret Angels get themselves in camera ready shape. It is, afterall, the most watched fashion show in the world. Here are some of their get pretty secrets:
1. They get their glow on with pre-show facials:
Adriana Lima, Miranda Kerr, Candice Swanepoel, and Erin Heatherton are all fans of dermatologist Dr. David Colbert’s famous Triad Facial and tend to stop in up to three days before the show. The three-part treatment consists of microdermabrasion, laser therapy and a glycolic peel. Kerr recently tweeted: “Thanks Dr Colbert. Love your triad facials!!! Xxx,” and her flawless complexion spoke for itself.
2. Some avoid eating solid foods in the days leading up to the show:
Lima revealed that she swears off solids and survives on protein shakes for nine days leading up to the big day and cuts off water 12 hours before showtime.
2011 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
Here are the 2011 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show photos with performances by Maroon 5, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West and a surprise appearance by Jay Z. The Victoria’s Secret show 2011 will be on the runway in a matter of hours. Anticipated for it’s energy, entertainment value and star power as much as for it’s lingerie, the question isn’t just what will be on the catwalk but who.
So who can we expect to see bounding down the runway this year, wings fluttering, eyelashes batting, kisses blowing with targeted determination towards the cameras?

Victoria’s Secret Show 2011, a note for your calendar
Even though Daniel believes that in recent times Victoria’s Secret has been dropping the ball in regards to their advertising efforts you would find it an uphill battle to argue against their annual runway show. It’s arguably the most anticipated (by the public at large) show in the fashion calendar, and there’s very little question why. With the show still over a month away the marketing department at VS is already hard at work making sure you know the exact date to tune in. This poster featuring an un-needlessly ‘shopped Candice Swanepoel landed across our desk letting us know the show will be broadcast on the 29th of November, though the actual show will be on November 9th.

Angel Candice Swanepoel introduces Victoria’s Secret’s ‘Sheer Love’ in L.A.
Victoria’s Secret dropped an additional bombshell in Los Angeles on Tuesday. This time, in the form of its South African-born, Portuguese-speaking angel Candice Swanepoel, who was dining at Chateau Marmont after a hectic day of promoting Victoria’s Secret’s newest Fantasies beauty collection, “Sheer Adore.”
“I had a lot of fantasies growing up,” Swanepoel said, “Not all of them that you would like to know.” She did reveal that she has always “secretly” wanted to be a fashion stylist. “I style myself,” she mentioned. “I love fashion, I love to play with various stuff and I actually think it shows your personality so I think if an individual else chooses it for you it is diverse … and there’s one thing exciting about deciding on some thing and not knowing what people’s reactions will be.”
People’s reactions usually work really significantly in her favor. For her morning press shoot, she donned a strapless floral Balenciaga dress, and later she dined at the Chateau in a strapless, form-fitting pencil dress by Victoria Beckham. “Beckham’s dresses just fit me perfectly,” she stated.
There are other secrets to being camera ready that Swanepoel shared, such as beginning off with a quite strong moisturizer so that your skin can compete with all the dry makeup applied throughout the day, and drinking lots of water. But how she feels is just as important as the lotions and the creams for Swanepoel, which is why she has a soundtrack for obtaining ready in the morning. “I adore music. I have a lot of reggae. For me, in the morning it is important to have something upbeat, like Coldplay or Bob Marley,” she mentioned.
The newly engaged Kristin Cavallari was also there to celebrate — dressed in a teeny-tiny, strapless Naven gown.
