It is one more coup for famous spawn this week with the news that Tali Lennox (daughter of Annie Lennox) is the new face of Karen Millen. 1st we heard of Cindy Crawford’s daughter’s debut for Versace (at the tender age of just 10, mind you) and now it’s Tali who is taking yet another step up the modelling ladder with the brand’s Spring/Summer 2012 campaign.

The 19-year-old appears appropriate at home in front of the camera as she models pieces from Karen Millen’s “upbeat and uplifting” new collection. By this I assume they are talking about the quantity of bold prints, tropical colours and sheer fabrics that will soon be hitting the shelves.

Burberry celebrates new Body line in Beverly Hills

Burberry celebrates new Body line in Beverly Hills
On Wednesday night, dizzying pops of flashbulbs flickered endlessly on the Beverly Hills corner where the Burberry boutique is located. Photographers and a few curious pedestrians gathered to snap shots of celebrities such as Kate Bosworth, Cat Deeley, Patrick Stewart and Felicity Jones who were there to fete Burberry Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey and the newest addition to the Burberry brand, a capsule collection called Body.

The first face of Body is model-actress Rosie Huntington Whiteley, who embodied the look of the line by wearing a rose gold colored body con dress. Though she’s had quite a successful run in fashion ad campaigns (including Victoria’s Secret and previous Burberry ads) this is Whiteley’s first solo turn posing for a fashion house.

“This has been so different for me than what I’ve done in the past,” she said, barely audible over the music being spun by Solange Knowles, who played DJ for the evening. “It’s my first single campaign and now I’m representing a fragrance.” The fragrance, also called Body, is the main product in the line, plus a small collection of accessories and several clothing items inspired by the scent.

Fashion 2.0 | Top 10 Fashion Films of the Season

Lanvin Spoof Video | Source:

NEW YORK, United States — At BoF, we’ve been ranking the top fashion films of the season since 2009, when the genre was still just coming into existence. But even back then, set against the staggering rise of online video consumption and the growing importance of engaging young digital consumers, the medium’s tremendous potential was clear.

Fast-forward to the Autumn of 2011 and YouTube-friendly short videos are practically de rigueur for fashion brands, large and small. But interestingly, it’s not digital “Geniuses” like Burberry who have been creating the most compelling fashion films. Despite being labeled “Challenged” by a Digital IQ report recently released by LuxuryLab, we think the Prada Group is making some of the best digital films in the industry, working with top fashion image-maker Steven Meisel.

But this season, it was Lanvin’s viral sensation (also shot by Meisel), featuring Karen Elson and Raquel Zimmermann dancing awkwardly to “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)” by Pitbull, that proved to be the game-changer that propelled fashion film decisively into the mainstream. The film struck a chord with a broad internet audience, earning over 100,000 YouTube views in the first three days online, providing the spark for a real-life dance competition at a buzzed about and well-attended Fashion’s Night Out event at the brand’s Madison Avenue boutique, and even spawning spoofs, the surest sign of of viral success.
