Like the shoes she designs, Charlotte Dellal is sweet, gorgeous and basically perfect. Both also look right at home in the lovely Bergdorf Goodman shoe salon, where Charlotte launched the fantastic spring collection of her shoe line Charlotte Olympia on Tuesday afternoon. Clutching her amazing banana bag, a recent addition to the collection, Charlotte was there making the rounds and was kind enough to chat with us about the many exciting things she has going on, including designer collaborations, her upcoming bridal collection and what’s in store for fall.
ELLE: Congratulations! Are you excited to be in Bergdorf’s?
Charlotte Dellal: I’m so excited, I’ve always wanted to be in Bergdorf’s. The shoe salon’s fantastic, it’s beautiful and I just love the whole essence of the whole store.
ELLE: How would you say Charlotte Olympia has changed or evolved since you started in 2006?
CD: In the beginning, when you’re starting off, you’re trying to follow your sense of what your brand is about and for me, it’s always been about the high heels and the color and it still is about that, but now that I’m broadening my customer base, I’ve introduced flats and especially now with my own store, I’m trying to broaden my clientele.
