Tria Laser Hair Removal Device- with added sensor
![]()
We’re no stranger to the Tria hair removal device right here at Kiss and Makeup, as we gave it rather glowing reviews back in 2008 as were quite content with the outcomes.
Well, it has been updated a little since then and we’re fairly happy with all the changes. No longer a scary £695 you can now get this for £349 and it utilizes laser technologies rather than IPL to promote lengthy term hair reduction.
The Tria now comes with a digital dislplay to show you the level of power you’re utilizing, and five settings to adjust it, and my favourite addition- a Skin sensor for safety.

Polka dot trends for the Autumn
Written by Sarah Mackenzie

It seems like everywhere I look lately I just keep seeing Stella McCartney‘s polka dot dress. I’ve seen it hanging from the rail in Liberty’s like a piece of immaculate art work, I’ve seen it on celebrities at red carpet events, and I’ve seen it on women as they strut their stuff around London town.
But Stella McCartney isn’t the only one to pick up on this latest spotty trend, as there are a number of other designers dotting their way to fashion success this season too. This youthful pattern played a vital part on the Autumn catwalks, adding a playful and flirty twist to basic tanks and tees.
And just because it’s polka dot, doesn’t mean it has to be black and white. Jaeger has created a stunning red silk polka dot dress ideal for the Autumn, and Dorothy Perkins also has a very large selection of beige and navy gowns perfect for any occasion.
Missoni for Target: Finally!
After all the problems I wrote about with the Missoni for Target launch (long lines, empty racks, a website crash), my colleague Jenn Harris and I finally got in! Into the site that is, since work kind of kept us from standing in lines this morning.
Jenn was first to latch onto target.com. She was on the hunt for a sweater, but first she was distracted by a cute, batik-y looking dress (“A little too summery,” I opined. ”Stick with what you’re really looking for.”) She checked out several sweaters (some already bearing the ominous words, “Out of Stock”) before finally deciding on a pink v-neck sweater ($ 39.99)– and a black and white triangle bikini top ($ 24.99), which is never too summery for Southern California.
She signed off. Then I tried to log back in but, oops, back to the “Woof! You may not be able to access our site” screen. Eventually, exercising patience while the screen refreshed every three seconds, I made it onto Target.com too. I was looking for accessories. Cute rain boots? Sold out. Colorful scarf? Sold out. But I wound up with a brown and white infinity scarf and a black felt hat banded in Missoni stripes. The total for both was $ 49.98, only 2 cents from the threshold for free shipping. But I decided I’d rather pay shipping ($ 6.99) than continue searching for something I really liked that was really in stock.
Peter Som’s Paint by Numbers

Models with tangerine streaks in their hair showed off Peter Som‘s brilliantly bright spring collection at MILK Studios yesterday. From head to toe they were soaked in grenadine, shocking fuchsia, and cobalt blue. Charlotte Olympia ditched last season’s experimental kitten heel and offered Som platform loafers and stacked, ankle-strap sandals in their place. If the collection were a paint by number, it’s read like:
26: The total appearances made by tangerine. Four times in a super-rose printed pant, coat, bikini, and skirt, once as a solid sablé dress, and five times on Charlotte Olympia loafers. The sixteen models with streaks of orange in their hair gave this color the lead.
11: How many vibrant colors Peter Som incorporated into his collection: tangerine, citrus, cobalt, grenadine, yellow, ochre, fuchsia, powder blue, pink, blue, and lipstick.
