Meryl Streep poses for her first ever Vogue cover
Who doesn’t adore Meryl Streep? The 62-year-old has just landed her first ever Vogue cover for the American version of the glossy publication. The Academy Award-winning actress has posed for Annie Leibovitz for the January issue in which she appears gloriously natural and windswept in a dove grey Carolina Herrera dress coat.
Inside the mag, Meryl talks about how she was offered three three different roles to play witches after she turned 40, which she thought it meant women in her age group were “grotesque on some level,” and told her husband “It’s over.”
Now she has just played one of the biggest roles of her life, portraying British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in the new film, The Iron Lady. Speaking of Thatcher, she said: “It was a men’s club. There were women there but I think it was 16 or 17 out of 630. The world was changing. You could feel the old order breaking down. There were many people who really didn’t want it to change. You could feel it. White-hot rage that didn’t speak – just emanated. I’m sure she experienced that.”

January 2012 magazines start pouring in. Vanity Fair January 2012 with Lady Gaga on the cover is pretty Christmas-y and pretty impressive at the same time. It’s Annie Leibovitz’s work, it should be a masterpiece!
Elle UK too has Lady Gaga on their January 2012 cover, this time by Matt Irwin. Only she’s wearing McQueen (from the Spring 2012 collection). Snow White And The Huntsman Trailer: Is Kristen Stewart the greatest of them all?

Think Snow White, think dainty princess prancing through the woods with a bunch of dwarfs, right? Think again. New movie ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ – or, brilliantly, ‘SWATH’ – is a gritty retelling of the classic story and although we’ve only got the trailer to go on, good gracious, does it look good.
So it’s time to forget the frivolous fairytale and feast your eyes on Kristen Stewart’s kick ass, swash-buckling heroine. The blood red lips and jet-black hair are firmly in place but note the warrior snarl, the raggedy plait and layers of armour. It’s very Joan of Arc-esque, which makes Kristen the perfect candidate for the part. This does, however, beg the question: how does Kristen compare to Snow Whites gone by? It’s time to ask our mirror, mirror on the wall…

Angelina Jolie for Louis Vuitton: The latest
Further details of Angelina Jolie’s campaign, which have reportedly earned her $ 10 million, for Louis Vuitton have been revealed.
According to WWD, the actress was in Siem Reap, Cambodia, earlier this week to shoot the ads for the label’s next “core values” campaign. Once again, Annie Leibovitz is photographing the ads which have previously featured Bono, Sofia Coppola, and Sean Connery among others.
The location of the shoot in Cambodia seems like the perfect place for Angelina’s campaign. After all, it’s where she has spent much time doing aid work, adopted her son Maddox and where she filmed Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. The ads are due to break worldwide this summer.
CQ Watch: On the set of Rihanna’s photo shoot for US Vogue
Yesterday we revealed to you Rihanna’s brand new cover and images from her editorial shoot for American Vogue, which also happens to be her first for the magazine. Today, we bring you some behind-the-scenes footage of the shoot featuring Rihanna on the set of her shoot with Annie Leibovitz. “She’s crazy,” the popstrel says of the famed photographer. “I love working with crazy people because they fit right in – I’m crazy myself.”
As for being cast for the cover of Vogue‘s 10th shape issue, she stresses: “I think it’s really important that Vogue decided to team up with me and Annie on an issue like this that promotes loving your body the way it is. Rihanna’s first American Vogue cover unveiled
I am going to take a stab here and say that although this is only Rihanna’s first cover for American Vogue – I doubt it’ll be her last. Snapped by celebrated photographer Annie Leibovitz, the pop princess adds a bright shot of colour to US Vogue‘s usual conservative covers with her wavy mane of fire engine red hair.
She appears on the magazine’s 10th annual shape issue wearing a form-fitting sheer floral Chanel dress that seems almost sprayed on. Against an ocean backdrop, Rihanna channels Disney’s The Little Mermaid. While inside the mag, she changes between short and long hairstyles – how versatile she is!
