Abbey Lee Kershaw Sings Loudly at the Gym, Apparently

There is been some speculation about model Abbey Lee Kershaw’s whereabouts this month, as she hasn’t walked in any style shows since New York. We do know one particular thing for certain: Final weekend, she was at Green Fitness Studio in Bushwick, singing loudly with her headphones on. According to a fellow gymgoer (a New York staffer, who shall remain anonymous), Kershaw then mounted an elliptical machine and continued singing tonelessly as she worked out, occasionally bobbing her head and flailing her arms as nicely. “I gave her some dirty looks to see if she’d cease, since I could hear her over my own music,” explains our source. “But I believe she saw me staring and just sang louder. It was like a moaning sound, almost.” Properly, you’ve got to give her at least some credit for combining band practice and cardio.

CK A single just got cooler: nowadays, the brand announced it’s expanding its fragrance, denim, and underwear empire to makeup. The 130-product cosmetic line launches overseas next month and in the U.S. this April. Headlining the campaign is a bevy of international models, which includes it-girls Ruby Aldridge and Abbey Lee Kershaw.  Aldridge shows off flawless skin in a foundation ad, though she says without having makeup, her complexion wasn’t constantly so excellent. “I’m prone to breakouts but getting facials at Mario Badescu has produced my skin amazing,” she raves. “It’s super old-school and all their estheticians have been there for years, but they do such a good job! I began using their moisturizer, cleanser, and toner. They also have this spot cream that I really like.”

When Kershaw went platinum a couple years ago, she listed Marilyn Monroe as her inspiration—so it’s fitting that, for her lipstick spread, her blond tresses are paired with a Monroe-esque rouge pout. Besides foundation and lip color, the new CK A single makeup collection consists of mascara and high-pigmented eye pencils.

Plus, it does not hurt that having a huge social media fanbase can bring instant buzz to any brand that hires the model. “I imagine, for example, that Victoria’s Secret likes that Doutzen (Kroes) has so many Twitter followers and that she tells them, ‘Watch the Victoria’s Secret show I’m in at 9 p.m.,” Patterson told the paper.

Holy mackerel, it’s been a great day for Spring 2012 ad campaigns! Not only do we have even much more pictures of a scantily-clad David Beckham to drool over, but there’s also plenty of high fashion campaigns to get excited about.

1st up there’s Arizona Muse looking smiley and sunny in the Isabal Marant campaign, although we’re not sure how we feel about her new ‘do. Valentino has a bevy of beautiful and ethereal ladies exploring what looks like some exotic ruins. (Psst..Can anybody tell us how to do their braided updo? We’re obsessed). Next is Abbey Lee Kershaw seeking glamorous in the Versace for H&ampM Cruise collection we can’t have. Finally, Daphne Groeneveld and her mile long legs star in Jill Stuart’s campaign, set in the backseat of a posh-looking automobile.

And that pretty much sums it up! The only question that remains is: Why in god’s name does David Beckham appear so angry?
