 Parsons’ MFA Students Are Heading to New York Fashion Week and Launching a Magazine With Help from a Big Name GlossyFollowing a blowout celebration for their bachelor program’s senior class earlier this month, Parsons celebrated their MFA graduates on Monday in a raw space deep inside New York’s garment district. Every of the eighteen thesis collections on display were painstakingly detailed, some resembling pleated confections, and other people jigsaw puzzles of reworked vintage–they had been completely unique.

“Imagine the finest of the bachelors plan and then give them two years with everything Parsons has to supply and anything New York has to offer you. Azealia Banks has captured the focus of Lady Gaga’s stylist Nicola Formichetti, performed for Karl Lagerfeld, and attended the Met Ball with Alexander Wang—all with no releasing an album. That’s soon to be rectified—her first EP, 1991 (immediately after her year of birth), drops digitally May 29 and consists of four tracks: “1991,” “Van Vogue,” the already well-liked “212″ (its video has netted 15 million views), and “Liquorice.” Although Banks appears to be channeling a small Grace Jones on 1991‘s cover, it was Formichetti she tapped to direct her upcoming “Liquorice” music video in London.

Banks is also ramping up to release her Fantastic mixtape this summer—she previewed the initial track off of that, the Calypso-tinged “Jumanji,” final week (listen following the cut). And she’s aiming to release her major label debut, Broke With Expensive Taste, this fall.
