We kicked off Oscar week in style with the fitting fusion of film and fashion at the 14th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards. And although the wardrobe keepers and visionaries are typically left behind the scenes, Tuesday night they took center stage at the Beverly Hilton with a black tie gala honoring the costumer’s craft. Jane Lynch, who was clad in a red David Meister gown, served as the master of ceremonies. Even though her Glee character is most comfy in tracksuits, Lynch took the chance to butter up Lacoste, the evening’s sponsor. “I bet a shirt in every single color would appear magnifique in my closet,” she mentioned. The brand’s iconic alligator had it’s spot on stage and on the busts that served as exclusive centerpieces.
Lynch’s colleague Lou Eyrich, who can be credited with the vision for Sue Sylvester’s uniform, was honored for her Profession Achievement in Tv Eyrich also took residence the award for Outstanding Modern Television Series. Marcia Gay Harden gave the sector some props before presenting Clint Eastwood and Deborah Hopper with the Distinguished Collaborator Award. “I believe costume designers 1st introduced me to Spanx so I thank you for that,” she said.
We had the pleasure of dining on poached pear gorgonzola salad, baked breast of chicken, and dolce de leche ice cream truffle alongside Wendy Chuck, who was nominated for Excellence in Modern Film for her work on The Descendants.Chuck snapped photographs of the atmosphere even though enjoying the festivities with her close friends and colleagues.
A few tables over Rooney Mara celebrated Trish Summerville, who transformed her into Lisbeth Salander in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. In spite of getting pierced and prodded, Mara was eager to cheer on her creative collaborator. “She’s incredible,” she said. Summerville, for her element, combatted the jitters with a few champagne refills at the bar prior to scooping up her statue.

We continue our Disney fashion series with 1 of their most special (and most CF reader-requested) tales, Lilo & Stitch.
The story follows a little blue alien named Experiment 626, otherwise recognized as Stitch. After becoming detained for wreaking havoc, Stitch manages to escape to planet Earth, or much more especially, Hawaii. There, he meets a tiny girl named Lilo, who takes him in as a pet, not knowing that he is really from another planet. Nonetheless, Lilo and Stitch soon become greatest buddies and, at the conclusion of the movie, learn the accurate meaning of loved ones.
