If there was one place to be last night, it was the 18th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute shindig. Held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills (natch), a whole host of A-list actresses were in attendance, from a super-sexy Jennifer Aniston snapped chatting to Evan Rachel Wood to up-and-comer Elizabeth Olsen sporting a very grown-up Calvin Klein gown. So you know what this means? Best Dressed o’clock!
Isn’t it a treat to see Jennifer Aniston stepping away from her typical black fare with such a daring sequinned number? We say yes! This one’s by Kaufman Franco and features a plunging neckline for a tres racy décolletage flash. Dating Justin Theroux is clearly having a postitive effect on our Jen, dontcha think? Also shimmering away was Elizabeth Olsen who opted for a more demure floor-length gown from Calvin Klein Collection – if only it wasn’t so shapelessly sack-like.
The New Scar Jos
Over in the blonde bombshell corner, we find Alice Eve (y’know, the buxom nanny from Sex and the City) and Amber Heard (she of we’re-not-sure-what fame). Both ladies made the most of their killer curves – Alice with some flower power and Amber with a sleek rose-coloured shift. Watch out, Scarlett Johansson!
Getting in the Halloween spirit, head-to-toe noir with sheer details was the way to go for Rachel Zoe and Evan Rachel Wood. While Rachel is typically elegant with gold accents, ERW brings that signature gothic twist to the trend.
The True Blues
Hurrah for a splash of colour! Jayma Mays cracked out this super-glam gown in sapphire blue with ruched detailing while Nicole Richie glammed up in an one-shouldered floor-sweeper covered in a shimmering floral print. Veeery sophisticated!
The Tailored Twosome
Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern channelled this season’s androgyny trend with Reese giving her classic trouser suit a feminine twist thanks to a lace top and Laura adding a funky statement necklace. Good work!
Abigail Breslin and Chloe Moretz are fast transforming from child stars to mini adults, as last night’s style choices prove. Abigail colour blocks like a pro with her orange frock + mustard yellow clutch as Chloe gets sharp thanks to another dollop of Calvin Klein chic.
And finally, take a look at Naomi Watts in her gorgeously girlie nude-coloured dress alongside Freida Pinto working a calf-length white sleeveless dress from Calvin Klein Collection, topped off with a vibrant necklace to match those Marni shoes.
What a gorgeous bunch! But do tell – who gets your Best Dressed vote?
