Jean Paul Gaultier to judge Cannes?

Style is often a large element of the Cannes Film Festival, which begins Might 16. Now it appears that a large character in style may possibly be a portion of the judges panel. Nowadays Festival President Gilles Jacob fueled rumors that French designer Jean Paul Gaultier may be sitting on Italian director Nanni Moretti’s jury.
“I cannot confirm it, but I am not denying it either,” Jacob told WWD.
We can also expect lots of big names on the red carpet! Tilda Swinton’s film Moonrise Kingdom, directed by Wes Anderson, will open the festival. Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman will attend for The Paperboy, Brad Pitt (with Angie on his arm?) for Killing Them Softly, Kirsten Dunst and Kristen Stewart for On The Road (and Stewart’s boyfriend Robert Pattinson for Cosmopolis), Reese Witherspoon and Matthew McConaughey for Mud and Nick Cave, Jessica Chastain and Mia Wasikowska for Lawless. That is fairly a lineup, and very a lot of ladies (and gents!) we cannot wait to see flex their style muscles along with their acting chops.
The Artist star Bérénice Bejo will be mistress of ceremonies.
