Fairy Tale Fashion Art

You may be familiar with Rumpelstiltskin, a German fairy tale speaking about a miller’s daughter who could (allegedly) spin straw into gold. I loved fairy tales when I was a child and Brothers Grimm’s tales were among my favorites. Right now I came across a very clever artwork imagined by Mandy Smith based upon Rumpelstilskin’s descriptions.

Notice anything strange? Yes, the dress is made from baking paper, the wheel is cardboard whilst every thing else (space &amp props) are designed, created and painted by hand. Photography Leon Hendrickx, model Dorothy Bany. Isn’t this enchanting?
