BLK DNM Fall/Winter 2012 Women’s Lookbook
Launched in February 2011, BLK DNM is a new modern luxury brand inspired by downtown Manhattan and designed for the independent customer of nowadays. Conceived by style designer Johan Lindeberg, the collection for females and guys attributes a modern day interpretation of classic denim and leather.
There are mainly high rise and mid rise jeans, and by the looks of it, this brand aims for the sophisticated and self-assured woman, who wants to be nicely- and fashionably- dressed. If you appear closely at the pictures, you can see particularly that the leather jeans are full of facts. There are biker seams on the knees and zippers at the pockets. Let’s see what the brand tells us about this amazing and properly executed collection:
“For the initial time since launching one particular year ago, BLK DNM introduces a new fit to its list of icons. Jeans 22, a slim-fit, mid-rise, five-pocket denim, comes as a fresh contrast to high-waist BLK DNM classics. The design team spent months perfecting the fit and proportions to deliver a universal slim fit. The final outcome will be revealed in-retailer on June 1st.”
BLK DNM entered the denim industry with two high-rise fits, Jeans 6 and Jeans 8, and a lower-rise, much less-fitted, Jeans 1, as its initial supplying. Whilst the original denim base created a cult following rapidly — with a fan base that includes Madonna, Chloe Sevigny, Lindsay Lohan, Juliette Lewis and Dree Hemingway — the style team had already begun refining the dimensions of a new silhouette.
Founder and Creative Director Johan Lindeberg began operating on Jeans 22 in July 2011. “Jeans are about perfection — the pocket size, the excellent rise, the attitude. Every detail,” Lindeberg emphasizes.
