A New Commenting System and A New Logo Are Coming Your Way

if fashionista had a graphic.jpgWe love our commenters – all of them – and have been looking for the best way to maximize your voice. So we want to give you a heads up that we’re about to change our commenting system. It’ll happen soon, perhaps as soon as tomorrow.

If you’ve already created a user name, you’ll want to pay attention and, as quickly as possible, annex your user name on Disqus. (You can go here to register.) We’re changing because your comments are an integral part of the site – and we want you to be heard.

You might ask why we’re changing systems. The great thing about Disqus is it allows your quips to buzz around the Internet. Your comments can automatically republish on Twitter, Facebook and several popular blogging platforms– only if you want them to, of course. And Disqus conveniently allows you to log in with your Twitter, Facebook or OpenID accounts.

It’s a better showcase for what you have to say, and Disqus better organizes conversation and threads. So rather than call out commenters by their numbers, you can actually reply directly to their points. It’s ultimately less confusing and makes for better debate. (You can also “like” comments.)
