Style Scoop: Waldo’s Comme des Garcons Makeover, Elle Macpherson Leaves ‘Fashion Star,’ Tamu McPherson Curates Looks for SUNO
For 25 years, people have been trying to answer one of the most thought-provoking questions in history: Where’s Waldo? Well, in honor of his silver anniversary, the red-and-white clad gent has been found and fashioned: Comme des Garçons, Warby Parker, and more are drawing inspiration from his signature style and will be bringing it to a scarf, tee, or pair of glasses near you. [LA Times]
Gap is joining the capsule collection age by collaborating with not one, but six designers on a range of menswear for their most dapper clientele. GQ curated six brands including Mark McNairy New Amsterdam, BLK Denim, and Todd Snyder to work with Gap on everything from boxers and bombers to sweatshirts and khaki slacks. All items will be available September 27th. [Fashionista]
Grazia.it editor-in-chief Tamu McPherson is setting her sights on NYC. The style blogger is the first fashionista chosen as Suno NY’s guest curator. McPherson will show fans how she rocks the vibrant, print-heavy label in real life, then let them shop the looks and incorporate favorites into their own wardrobes. [Suno NY]
Dress of the day: Topshops Limited Edition flapper maxi dress
I’m a sucker for new products, so when I logged onto Topshops website this afternoon and saw a graphic advertising their new Limited Edition dresses, I was powerless to resist! After clicking through to their Limited Edition section I was met with a choice of eleven pretty styles, but one in particular set my heart racing – this green vintage style flapper maxi dress.

At £175 the price point is fairly steep for a high street store, but I absolutely adore it. This 1920′s inspired dress is the perfect shade of emerald green and features intricate floral wooded and plastic beading across the main part of the waistline, the straps and the hem. Unlike a lot of ‘modern vintage’ dresses around, it’s also machine washable, which ultimately makes it even more desirable.

Softly Layered: Emporio Armani Spring Summer 2013 Collection
I told you there were some pretty feminine collections coming up in this Milan section of Fashion Week. Emporio Armani Spring Summer 2013 came up with this softly layered collection, all silky, all pastel. Delicate but still basic. (what can you make of my modest selection?) {style}

Style Scoop: Lea Michele Lands L’Oreal, The Sartorialist Says More Students Should Crash Fashion Week, and Adele Rumored to Collaborate with Burberry
Lea Michele is set to join the ranks of other L’Oreal alum — Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, Eva Longoria, Kerry Washington — as the new face of the French beautybrand. Expect to see the Glee girl-gone-glam on L’Oreal ads early next year. [GlamBlush]
The Sartorialist‘s advice to young fashion students trying to nab a seat at fashion week? Crash the party. Scott Schuman says that students, especially in New York City, should take note from those in London, who he’s seen successfully sneak into shows and presentations — or at least carrying a camera to capture all of the action. [Racked]
Gap could very well be getting a European facelift thanks to its new creative director, Rebekka Bay. Bay worked behind H&M’s higher-priced COS line, and at Danish label Bruuns Bazaar, but told Womens Wear Daily that she would still stick to Gap’s design core. “It’s important to continue to [build upon] the product’s American heritage. Gap is the brand that owns casual fashion.” [WWD]
