Ever Caught The Bird Flu? Jessie Did -___-
![]()
Last Friday night, my chest started burning insanely. I spent the day taking different allergy medicines and trying to convince myself I was just having horrible allergies. As the weekend crept in, I was generally weak and lacked energy. I was burning up and I had a fever over 102° for a couple days. When my fever broke and I was sweating profusely, (due to a Motrin “overdose” – see picture below) I knew I need to hit the hospital.

I went in and said I had been running a fever for days and that I thought I had the flu. They ran some tests and I found out I was positive… FOR BIRD FLU!

Emma Stone’s Revlon Campaign With Her Mother
(you haven’t forgot about our Family & such day, have you?) Awareness campaigns are so special! I can’t even imagine the tremendous work involved and the emotional charge of everyone who’s doing a PSA! Steven Klein photographed the beautiful Emma Stone and her mother for Revlon’s “Your Lips Can Save Lives” PSA.
It’s essentially about early cancer detection as Krista, Emma’s mother, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008 (at 48). Since then, she underwent surgeries and chemotherapy but is now out of harm’s ways for four years already. It’s a beautiful awareness campaign for a great cause. So: don’t forget the yearly exam!

Welcome back to Dressing for Your Body, Which Happens to be Awesome (known in some circles as DFYBWHTBA — we’re working on a better acronym). You’ve learned how to dress your long legs, your boobs of any size, and your fantastic butt. You’ve laughed, you’ve cried, you’ve listened to India.Arie’s Video on repeat, and now you embrace your body type with all your heart, right?
Well, maybe not yet. But even if not, I am here to help, showing you ways to dress your bangin’ bod (and trust me, it is bangin’) while loving your body, not trying to trick people into thinking it’s different.
