Gross: Gun Manufacturer Launches Ill-Timed ‘Louis Vuitton’ Grip Handgun (Updated)
Are you a gun enthusiast with a passion for fashion (and the ability to ignore a national tragedy)? Well then, a company called Machine Guns Vegas has just the thing for you: The ‘Louis Vuitton‘ grip handgun.
Yep, in the wake of the largest mass shooting in US history–a massacre that has politicians and activists calling for stricter gun laws–this company actually had the nerve to send out a press release touting its new gun model just three days after the senseless killings in Aurora.
“Like Marc Jacobs putting Sponge Bob Square Pants onto LV monogrammed bags, Machine Guns Vegas has created their own Louis Vuitton accessory – a monogrammed Louis Vuitton grip for a handgun – which is legal to carry in the State of Nevada,” the press release states. Never mind that Marc Jacobs has never put Spongebob on one of his bags (he just put one in ink on his arm)–the two concepts are basically as far away from one another as possible. Never mind, too, that Machine Guns Vegas doesn’t technically have the rights to create its own Louis Vuitton “accessory” because Louis Vuitton actually had nothing to do with this new gun.

Among the many awards picked up by Justin Bieber at last night’s Teen Choice Awards 2012 ceremony (count Male Artist, Single by a Make Artist for “Boyfriend”, Summer Music Star) there was one particular award that sums up the delicate style state of our young generation.
Justin Bieber, my dahlings, was presented with the Fashion Icon Award at the Teen Choice Awards! Fashion Icon! Justin Bieber! When I first heard that Kate Moss was going to be designing a set of jockey silks for Glorious Goodwood, I have to admit, I was a little sceptical. Yes, the supermodels range for Topshop did gloriously well (sorry) but a jockey outfit?!
Kate’s bright pink design is quite traditional – I expected something a little more rock & roll, maybe something black with a little fur or sparkle. I suppose it is flashy with its lightning bolts across the chest and sleeves, and it looks like a stereotypical riders jacket, don’t you think?
The 38-year-old model isn’t the only famous lady you’ll recognise on the list of designers; everyone from Pearl Lowe and Mossy to Amanda Wakeley and Luella Bartley has contributed silks for the charitable event. Jasmine Guinness told Grazia, that she loves designing colours for the Ladies Day race, describing it as a “designers dream!” whilst British model and winner of last years race, Edie Campbell said, “I’m probably mad to be returning as I can’t do any better than last year but I couldn’t resist a chance to be involved in such a fun experience that raises so much money for charity.”
Nordstrom to Launch Topshop Departments

WWD is reporting that UK-based retailer Topshop will be opening in-store departments within a select number of Nordstrom locations across the United States.
Topshop — which currently only has three stores in the U.S. (NYC, Chicago, and Las Vegas) — will be opening departments in 14 Nordstrom stores starting on September 10th. Each Nordstrom location will have a 2,500-square-foot Topshop department as well as a 1,500-square-foot Topman (the brand’s menswear line) section.

Zoe Saldana Wins Teen Choice 2012 Award In Jonathan Saunders Outfit
Zoe Saldana won a Teen Choice Award for her performance in Colombiana. She was wearing an interesting outfit for the occasion: skirt and cropped top from Jonathan Saunders (the pre fall 2012 collection) and she was radiant, as always.
I like Zoe and I loved her in Colombiana – you should see it if you haven’t already (just a hint – it’s a Besson film, so don’t expect roses and sundaes). I don’t know what to make of her outfit, though – it’s far from being tasteless, that’s for sure (and the blue Louboutins add a little special extra) but… It looks dusty. I wish it would’ve been brighter, more joyful.
