Now I’ve seen some pretty strange things in my long web – walks. But this? It by far the weirdest in a long time! And not in a good way (weird). Just saying “Synthetic Grass” is enough to make me shiver and frown. But cover an entire house in synthetic grass is beyond my understanding. Oh, and see those bizarre concrete staircases piercing through windows and such? What mad architecture is that? {CuriousPlaces}

To Celebrate the Euro 2012 Final, Here’s a Guide to Soccer WAGs and their Favorite British and European Beauty Products

 To Celebrate the Euro 2012 Final, Here’s a Guide to Soccer WAGs and their Favorite British and European Beauty Products

World’s most famous WAG, Victoria Beckham

Before there were Basketball Wives, there were the footballer WAGs (aka wives and girlfriends), as the British tabloids fondly christened them. In the UK and all over Europe, being a footballer (what we Americans call a soccer player) is like being Tom Brady and Derek Jeter all rolled into one. Men want to be you and women want to be with you. Not just any women, though–women whose spending habits and glamour are so mesmerizing that rag mags devote multiple columns and online articles to reporting on them. Read more…

Looks on Campus: Danielle – University of Mary Hardin Baylor

Now that school’s out, I’ve been using my free time to reconnect with old friends. When I called up my friend Danielle to catch up and chat, I started thinking about our growth from children (we became best friends in the fifth grade and were absolutely inseparable) to adults (we’re now at totally different colleges studying incredibly different things).

When I saw her for the first time this summer, it was clear her sense of style had also matured! So, today’s LOC post is all about Danielle’s sweet summer style and a celebration of all of our childhood friendships.

Kanye West creates NSFW video to celebrate launch of Anja Rubik’s new mag

Model turned editor Anja Rubik called on close friend Kanye West when it came time to launch her new magazine, 25. The rapper, who featured Rubik in the fashion shows for his clothing line, worked with photographer and director Barnaby Roper on a video on the debut issue’s theme of – surprise – eroticism. The result is a very NSFW, sort of fashiony look at erotic imagery the duo insist is not pornographic. Judge for yourself, above.

“It’s funny. We talked about porn looks these days, and he agreed with me that there’s no porn out there that is beautiful aesthetically and integrates fashion to make a beautiful image,” Rubik told The Cut. “We were on the same page about a lot of things … I thought it would be really interesting [for the video] to make it seem like we were entering Kanye’s head.”

While the video does seem to focus on erotic images of women – the magazine itself is supposed to focus on erotica from a woman’s perspective. It is shot completely by female photographers like Emma Summerton, Annie Leibovitz, Paola Kudacki, Camilla Åkrans, Ellen Von Unwerth and Corinne Day.
