Katie Holmes Never Stopped Wearing Heels When She Was Married to Tom Cruise
Sometimes, men feel weird about dating women who are taller than them, and vice versa. It’s silly but it’s true. But Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, whose divorce filing was announced today, have never let that get in their way.
Based on the evidence–years of red carpet photos of them in which Katie is heads above Tom and Tom seems totally cool with it–we can rule their height difference out as the reason for their divorce. Instead of talking about how Tom and Katie’s marriage may have been a fraud, let’s remember the good things, like Suri, and Holmes’ unyielding support of a woman’s right to wear heels.
We love that over the years, aside from daytime activities that often involved carrying around a very high-maintenance child, Holmes never opted for flats when out with Cruise–even though without heels she is actually shorter than him. She didn’t even slouch and we think that’s great. Or maybe it just made her look like more of a trophy. Or maybe Cruise is the one who picked all of them out! Who knows!?
Adele announces she is pregnant!
There is even more breaking news today with Adele announcing she is pregnant! The British songstress has revealed she is having a baby with her boyfriend Simon Konecki.
“I’m delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together,” she wrote to her fans on her website. “I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx”
The 24-year-old singer and her beau have been dating since last summer, confirming their relationship in January. The pair have faced controversy after it became known that Konecki was married previously. Rumours circulated that he was still married at the time they began their romance. Adele hit back at claims by revealing that Simon had been divorced for four years.

Marvelously balanced, Emma Stone in Chanel Resort 2013 looks like a life size doll. She paired the baroque embroidered dress with Christian Louboutin spiked heels (to edge things up a bit). Whoever her stylist is, his / her job is masterfully executed as I can’t remember Emma making many fashion faux pas… Can you?

Goldsign F/W 2012 Lookbook
I have had a very hard time in choosing the most outstanding Goldsign jeans to post here – I have limited space and this time I really hate the limit…. sorry Denimology fans 
To start, I chose the printed satin-like jeans and Adriano Goldschmied’s variety pack -baggy, boyfriend and skinny rolled up jeans. Many times have I wanted to be able to choose a pair of jeans from a brand but the brands did not offer me any choice. Goldsign gives me all three. I am all set and ready for fall with those different styles for different kinds of moods.
Check out the jeans below. These are the most form fitting high-waist jeans with (here is “vive la difference”) straight legs. Yeah, we have all seen too many high-waist skinnies and flares. Somehow they never made sense to me. I always found them a bit disproportional. At Coterie, here in NYC, Adriano showed me these straight leg high waist beauties on a model, this was in February, and I have not forgotten them even now. This speaks for itself.

First Look: The Chanel Couture Invitation Is a Sketch of a Young Coco Chanel by Karl Lagerfeld
The Chanel fall/winter couture show is next week! OMG, we better start packing. Oh, wait. No, we’re not really invited, but we do get to have a peek at the invitation.
Karl Lagerfeld is famous for his sketches, and Chanel featured one on this season’s fairly simple invite. The sketch of Coco is accompanied by the words “New Vintage.” Which doesn’t really give a clue about the theme of the collection. In the spring, Karl famously showed the couture collection on a posh (fake) airplane. We love his themed shows, so doubtless he and his team have some sort of spectacle planned. We’re thinking a Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris sort of thing maybe: Karl goes back in time and hangs out with Coco and they talk about their cats and lovers. It could work.
