Dolce & Gabbana Do Kids

Dolce & Gabbana’s first collection for kids hit stores in July, and while no mini versions of the house’s spring bejeweled, corseted one-pieces are involved, Gabbana did tell WWD: “It’s a miniature version of our signature line.”
If the designs aren’t exactly the same as the adult collection—there are lace-trimmed crepe de chine blouses and cashmere capes for girls, and tuxedo suits and tricot jogging outfits for boys—the designers aimed to keep the quality high. “This is not the moment to pull back on quality, which remains a priority,” said Dolce.
The collection focuses on fall and spans everything from clothing, innerwear, beachwear, and accessories to footwear for newborns up to ten-year-olds. There’s even a special selection of tulle dresses and silk suits for baptisms. “This is an homage to Italy and to our tradition. It’s part of our culture and marks one of the most important moments in our lives,” said Gabbana.

Get your fans at the ready, you’re going to need to cool down after seeing this!
The catchiness of Canadian popstrel Carly Rae Jepsen‘s hit ‘Call Me Maybe‘ has led to a string of lip-sync videos of the track appearing on YouTube over recent months. T By Alexander Wang Resort 2013 Collection Debuts Swimwear
Talking about Alexander Wang and not saying a word about his a lot more cost-effective T by Alexander Wang would be unpardonable for an admirer such as myself. Nonetheless, as I really loved the simple slouchy feeling of some of his earlier T styles, I cannot say I identified the identical aesthetic in his T by Alexander Wang Resort 2013 collection!
Yes, he maintained the coolness factor, the comfy lines and the relaxed attitude. But the clothes got tighter, gloves falling off of the model’s hips, the simple geometry of T by Alexander Wang’s edgy aura wasn’t sufficient to charm me. And certainly a tracksuit with a reported price of over $ 1,000 won’t locate its way to my heart either!

Osklen Spring 2013: Brigitte Bardot Meets Blue Crush
SAO PAULO–Osklen is 1 of the most extremely anticipated shows of Sao Paulo Fashion Week and it did not disappoint. This was a single collection I’m sure would do well in the states (and one brand we anticipate obtaining an even larger presence right here in the future). I wanted every little thing.
Designer Oskar Metsavaht has produced a name for himself in Brazil and beyond for his use of original high tech fabrics made sustainably, but his eye for color, unusual-however-appealing silhouettes and clear vision deserve praise as nicely.
His background occurs to be in snowboarding, but this collection was inspired by a various sort of board.
Georgia May Jagger launches British Airways vintage show in Johannesburg

Does this girl ever cease? Georgia Could Jagger popped up once again this week this time to assist launch the British Airways vintage show in Johannesburg. The British model joined South African rugby union stars Schalk Burger and Joel Stransky at the occasion which ventured back in time to showcase BA’s airline attire beginning from the 1920s.
Despite the numerous conservative airline uniforms that were modelled on the catwalk, Georgia opted for a purple floaty brief dress featuring embroidered gold detailing and a pleated waist. She also wore a pair of sky-high black peep toe heels with wrap around ankle tie.
It was a shame we did not see her don one particular of a lot of retro airline uniforms which had been modelled by other individuals. BA which has operated under numerous distinct names all through its 93-year history has, in reality, changed cabin crew uniform much more than 400 instances! Preceding looks included a plain wool dress from the 1940s by Hardy Amies (who was dressmaker to the Queen) and a brightly paper mini dress worn in 1967 on flights from New York to the Caribbean. Not to mention the power shoulders and stripes of the 1980s uniforms. Oh what an era to be operating at an airline!
