While the original Free Endearment Dana Clutch is a wonderful fashionable basic, the laser cut detail on the new version genuinely adds much more interest and excitement to the piece. I feel like it elevates it to a special occasion bag. Which is good for me, because I require outside pockets for keys/phone on an everyday bag. As you can see from the inside view, this has a lot of pockets and is bigger than you may possibly expect of a clutch. But with my (admittedly not little) makeup bag, wallet, keys and telephone it really is fairly full. If you had been willing to forego wallet and makeup bag and use the pockets for those functions, you could undoubtedly save some space and make this your typical purse.

A week in Park City (and just a single day on the slopes) opened our eyes to but another dilemma with winter—fashionable snowboarding (and skiing!) gear. Burton’s pop-up tents had been filled with brightly colored jackets in florals and polka dots that we’d happily wear about New York City. But the rest of the mountain? A sea of faded blue and red. Ravishing in Red at the 2012 SAG Awards
Michelle Williams brought a bit of Marilyn to the SAG Awards Sunday night in a sultry crimson confection. The actress, who was nominated for Outstanding Efficiency by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her operate in My Week With Marilyn, opted for a glamorous vintage Valentino draped dress. Red was Kyra Sedgwick’s energy color too she showed off her physique and her new tattoo in a revealing Emilio Pucci gown.

Dree Hemingway Designs for Sandro

Last month, Sandro sent out invitations to their New York Fashion Week party, in honor of the Bleecker Street store that opened late final year. Upon RSVP, there was mention of Dree Hemingway.
Turns out the model (and well-known literary spawn) has developed a ten piece capsule collection for the French brand. The boho collection was inspired by Hemingway’s youth, spent in Idaho, and—from the t-shirt at left—looks extremely Isabel Marant-like. Look for the collection in retailers this spring.
Meanwhile, Hemingway’s also been tapped to host a dinner in honor of Dannijo alongside ManRepeller’s Leandra Medine as a kick off to New York Fashion Week. Wonder if we’ll see her on any runways this season?
The Beachy-Chic Antidote to the Winter Wardrobe Blahs
While vacationing in Montauk recently, designers Michelle Zacks (of Spring & Clifton) and Yael Aflalo (of the Cali-based eco-label Reformation) were drawn to the Baja skater aesthetic featured at a local surf shop, in particular, the eyecatching textures, patterns & exuberant colors.
The result? A new Resort line launching just around the time we’re mostly bored to death with our winter wardrobes.
The Reformation x Spring & Clifton Collaboration is limited to 10 pieces, mostly combinations of Baja & leather along with reworked cashmere knits & super-soft tees that have a slightly-punk vibe, like kilt-pin closures and hand-placed safety pin details. Designed to replicate easy-breezy Baja beach style, everything is designed to pair easily with items you already own “I would say that our collective teenage years spent in Southern California played a role in the look of the collab,” adds Michelle. “References include surf and skate culture, music, art and downtown NYC meets SoCa.”
