It’s made of hangers! It’s so simple and beautiful, though, I could try wearing it in the comfort of my own living room. Or other-room. Designed and made by Miriam Zink, a young designer from (and based in) the Netherlands, the Light M Chandelier looks great and feels affordable (6). I wonder how long till the diy courant democratizes that one too! Would you take this hangers chandelier at home with you? Zynchronized Swimming
ZYNC from American Express certainly made a splash this past Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. To promote their newest credit card, Amex brought a dose of cool to the iconic Raleigh Hotel pool this past Sunday with a bumping “Swim and Style” party. Cocktails flowed as guests enjoyed refreshing sorbet from the comfort of their ZYNC floats, while others headed up to the penthouse to shop for a new bikini with Miami boutique Nic del Mar’s fit experts. Later on the crowd was treated to a throwback of sorts as the Aqualillies, a group of synchronized swimmers performed to the sounds of an electric violinist. Model Hillary Rhoda took it all in a dress she had just purchased upstairs and marveled at the nostalgic moment. After this spectacular aquatic soiree ZYNC may be the new black!

Snooki: Style Icon? The Next Elizabeth Taylor?
Snooki in a bad outfit and a Proenza look WWD suggests for her.
Fashion loves ugly. Miuccia Prada, for example, likes to take things that aren’t conventionally attractive and make them beautiful. “I don’t like things that are obvious. Just beauty by itself is too easy,” she has said. Marc Jacobs, too, echoes, “I love imperfection.” So Snooki is a natural fascination for the industry. But after doing a high-fashion shoot in Harper’s Bazaar with her female Jersey Shore co-stars, it seemed unlikely that anyone else in the industry would consider her seriously. Yet a headline in today’s WWD screams: “Reality Rehab: Snooki Style.” And Cathy Horyn wrote a long article dissecting Snooki’s appeal for the weekend Times.
WWD‘s story highlighted a laundry list of garishly dressed reality stars, including Snooki, some Real Housewives, and The City‘s Roxy Olin; pointed out the ways in which they dressed badly; and recommended designers and runway looks for them to wear. (For Snooki, they suggested Proenza Schouler.) But Horyn, who is apparently totally obsessed with Snooki, goes deeper. Much, much deeper.

Karl Disapproves of New Chanel Film; Natalia Vodianova Returns for Stella McCartney
• Despite Karl Lagerfeld’s unfavorable reviews of the new Chanel biopic Coco Chanel and Igor Stravinsky, the designer had some advice for the film’s star, Anna Mouglalis. She said, “When I discussed this with Karl he was very keen for me to show Coco’s humour but that was something the director didn’t want to do. For him nothing can be precise enough. This film is just one interpretation and shows a certain point of view. I didn’t even have to ask for his help though — he relayed anecdotes about Coco, showed me the archives and lent me some beautiful dresses.” [Vogue UK]

Lara Stone for French Playboy
This news are very not Lara Stone, the great model every big fashion house would kill to have in the front of their campaigns. Lara is not the first model to be seen in the magazines provocative-pages, but their she is, in the june/july issue of French Vogue posing with and without clothes for the mag. Photos was taken by Greg Lotus. The pics feels more Vogue than Playboy, in my opinion. Lara’s wearing body jewelry by Jenny Mercian, the same jewelry that was seen on the Victoria Secret show.
